801 Slip-on / exhaust list

Maybe I am getting old but I like the original sound. My previous bike was a KTM 890 adventure and the sound was much worst than the Husky

That's too much ( for me ) doesn't sound good. My 790 had a simple slip on and sounded really good... I'm guessing that is because it was Euro 5

I agree stock looks really nice.
Ended up getting the black Arrow anyway. It looks really good too, and gives it that extra deep growl that was lacking before.
Only question is... Anyone who has switched it has ever noticed a slight decrease in mileage? I'm still testing it, but would say theres like 0,4l/100km increase in consumption.

did you mount the Arrow at your bike without any problems? My Arrow was delivered at Monday, today I tried to mount it - its not possible...
The Flange of the pre-muffler is too long, you cannot slide on the muffler far enough...1kommentiert.jpg

Now i'd like to know, whether my arrow is wrong produced, or it's normal and i'm only too stupid to do it....
 
I actually installed the arrow about an hour ago.
I can confirm that the installation is a bit tricky because of the clamp.

Here’s how I managed it:
- disassemble the clamp fully (the installation guide says not to)
- grease up the inside of the clamp and flange with the metal-paste that came in the kit
- install the exhaust and put it as far over the flange so you can connect to the mounting point with the supplied bolt.
- install the clamp over the center of both flanges
- place the bolt in the clamp on the lower part (as guide shows) so you can reach it from next to the rear suspension coil
- get a pair of pliers and grab the ends of the part of the clamp where the screw goes through and tighten the clamps. This will clamp both flanges.

If you grab the bottom of the clamps (where the screw mounts) you have just enough space to insert the bolt above the grabbing pliers. After that you can further screw in the bolt of the clamp and it will tighten the flanges nicely. Just make sure it positioned correctly when tightening.

I did all this from the left side of the bike.

I bought mine having never seen or heard it in person. Very glad I did. But for those less “adventurous” - I saw this yesterday on YouTube which tells you all you need to know

Also, @loki_ have you checked if it's easy to remove the spot weld from the DB killer for the homologated version?

Hi @Stamanas, sorry for the late reply! Unfortunately, I don't have a sound clip right now. However, the muffler really isn't much louder than the stock one. Honestly, I had expected a bit more. I'm thinking about modifying the DB killer - it can be removed quite easily via a screw. Once the screw is loosened, you can pull it out with a pair of pliers.

I’m amazed you think it isn’t much louder than stock and that you’re disappointed. I think it’s significantly louder and more importantly has an incredible deep and throaty sound. I couldn’t be happier. I have the homologated version where the baffle is welded in and honestly, unlike every other pipe I’ve owned (and I’ve owned many) - I wouldn’t even consider removing it because the sound is perfect. If it was any louder it would be unpleasant to ride for anything longer than five minutes.
