How much mileage have you guys clocked up so far?

Any one with a decent amount on the ODO yet?

I have the bike a year and have not passed 3000kms yet.....

I thought I was going insane, it doesnt seem to be very consistent and I never had that before the 1000 km service so I guess its using the IMU in a new firmware update to do that.
Yeah, probably came with the update because I haven’t noticed it until now. Doesn’t seem to work in all corners for me either. It seems to work OK in turns where I lean the bike, like roundabouts and bigger turns.

Hey guys, been lurking around for a bit, so I guess it's time I check in.

I've been one of the first buyers in Spain and have been enjoying my 801 ever since, for a whole year now. Already did 12.500+ km, most of them on twisty, secondary roads. Coming from a 500cc scrambler, this thing is a beast.

Answering to the late posts, YES, the Svart has auto indicator off, though I find it quite slow as it takes a few too many seconds to turn them off. Still a nifty feature to have, so you don't have them on forever. Before I had this one installed on my bike, and would work way better, 99% of the time I didn't have to turn them on manually.

For those curious, I can't stay without adding small things here and there. So far (just writing here to have it also as a small reminder for myself), I have changed/installed:

  • Removed the screen from day 0 since I consider it the ugliest thing on the bike. It looks way better without it IMHO.
  • Rear mirrors, some Rizoma Stealth Max knock-off from Aliexpress, still looking good.
  • Official engine and clutch protections.
  • Red vinyls for tank sides, radiator and foot guards (not on the exhaust for obvious reasons).
  • Black and red Puig clutch and brake folding levers 3.0.
  • Dynamic pack (kind of regretting this one).
Now I've only had two issues with the bike so far, a minor and a major one. The minor one is that, from time to time, I get the triangle warning indicator in my dashboard. No message, no issues. It just stays there until I turn it off and on again (only if I rode for a little). It's not a big deal, but it still makes me shiver from time to time, coming from a new bike. Now the big one is with my front brake, as it keeps bending for some reason, making the bike vibrate a lot when braking at high speeds, and brake inconsistently when going slow. I already had to go to the official mechanic three times for this reason, got them replaced for the same exact disk the first 2 times. Last time I went there, I had them replaced with another model (way cooler, to be honest) that seems to be holding for a bit longer without issues. Just hoping it'll stay this way from here.

So yeah, serve this as my introduction in the forum, I'm hoping to stay here for long, enjoying with you guys!

I'm now at 4200 km since last August; the bike will have the second service this week.

@Lýkos welcome; but you know, without pics it never happend! (y);)

By the way, the brake problem you discribe seems also to be a quite common Duke 790 problem.

My only issue with the brakes is the front brake is choppy at slow speeds. I’m guessing the discs aren’t straight. I’ll probably go to the dealer tomorrow.

Here no problem with the (Brembo instead of the stock Galfer) brakes... :)

You should, have it checked while it's still warranty covered.

I will once I have some good pics of it. Right now, my biggest concern is switching the shitty (but cool-looking) Aliexpress vinyl for some proper 3M 2080 that won't become a nightmare to apply. It won't be as pretty, but definitely better quality.
I hope not! Imho the shape of the parts doesn't fit the Scrambler-style of the Svartpilen; I still hope for some wire spoked wheels
As long as they don't offer me a way to install that awesome-looking Vitpilen headlight, they won't have me hyped for changes. Am I the only one willing to drop ~800 bucks for that gorgeous light?

Who cares about the quality of the pics?!? 😁

I do like the Vit headlamp but I love the classic Svart one, I wouldn’t swap it even if it was free.

I've asked Andreas at CEC to check my front brakes as well. Very choppy and inconsistent, especially at slow speeds. Thinking the discs arent straight too.

Perfect, then he will be extra happy when I go there today and he hears me complaining about the exact same thing on the exact same model bike. 😆

Also rode with a Duke 790 and a Duke 890R today. They had the same “issue”.
I never noticed the "issue" you discribed; not with the Galfer, not with the Brembo; and also not with the other bikes.
But what is "slow speed" to you, when you noticed it?
My bike will be at the dealer tomorrow and I will get another KTM or Husqvarna for a day; I'll keep an eye on it.
