Dutch Vitpilen 701

These are the: SE07BB0258

I just looked for sintered pads that were available within a few days.
So have not really looked into different compounds.
Did about 150km this morning, they work fine. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Heel nice man, ik heb gemerkt dat ik lange ritten heel goed trek op deze, jij?
Since it's an international forum it's best to stick to english.
I have no problem at all doing longer rides on the Husky. Saturday I did 857km in one day 😁

No problem at all 👌🏻

Amazing, and fair point! Will continue in English.
I just did these two trips myself and I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of saddlepain/soreness after. I went to the Dolomites, and Normandy. Question; I see your phone on there; my Quadlock wireless charger, hooked up to the USB hub under the saddle is acting up, what way do you use to charge your phone?

O wow, that's a serious trip!

I have a usb charger on my left handlebar, it's powered by the accessoire feed behind the headlight. And I just plug a cable into the phone from there.

I started with the usb from under the seat mounted on the handlebar, but that wasn't powerful enough to charge the phone while using calimoto, flitsmeister and Spotify at the same time.
So I changed it to a 3amp usb socket, and haven't had any issues since.
I'm using this:

Why was it less "plug and play" ....was here some sort of conflict or was the sellers spiel more complicated in practice than it sounded ?

The unit was built for the Svartpilen 701, and me and the seller thought that it would work without issues on the Vitpilen.
We were wrong 😅
The Svartpilen has a lot more room behind the headlight, and the connector for the throttle grip that the unit plugs into is behind the headlight on the Svartpilen, but on the Vitpilen it's under the tank.
So I made up some extension wires, so I could mount the unit under the pillion seat instead of behind the headlight.
When everything was mounted, it didn't work.
Turns out, the whole canbus system on the Vitpilen, is more similar to the Duke 690, than it is to the Svartpilen.
So I had to flash the firmware from Svartpilen tot Duke 690, and then it worked.
This process was less than ideal because I am in the Netherlands, and the seller is in Canada, so I would email my findings, and by the time he was awake, it was almost bed time for me 😅
So it took a bit longer, but I have to say, Jackson from Veridian cruise has been an absolute legend in getting this working, his customer service really is great! I would definitely recommend his services!

He will use my findings to get the cruise control plug and play for the Vitpilen, so future customers shouldn't have these issues.
And he was kind enough to offer me a partial refund for my troubles.
All in all I quite enjoyed the process of getting to the bottom of these issues.

It's not common since it's only been released for a few months.
I've had this on my Svart for a while, I also changed to the 3-button control last week. I have yet to test how smooth the speed increment function is. (I might have to update the firmware).

Edit: Wording/Gramar.

Last ride of this season for me today, gave it a quick bath before I got home because it was very dirty from all the mud and wet leaves that are on the road now.

I'll give it a proper wash soon.
5427km on the Husky this year and 7326km on the Triumph.
Not a bad season considering it didnt stop raining before june 😅

Rear shock needs a service, bike started wallowing a bit when coming out of corners with the throttle wide open. Wanted to increase rebound damping, but the adjuster has sort of seized. It will only go back and forth one click.

So took the shock out this morning:

Love the skylift!

Cleaned the inside of the swingarm etc. Cleaned the linkage, and in an attempt to stop the rear brake squeaking I put a chamfer on the edge of the pads.

Put the original shock back in the bike so the bike can be out of the way while the Duke 690R shock gets serviced.

It was a bit less plug and play than I expected, but we got there in the end. I now have working cruise control on my Vitpilen 😎

Wow, that’s rather nice, I can imagine it’s very convenient for when you’d want to drive a little way on the highway, to an area with more enjoyable roads :).
Amazing work, and as always, a joy to see!
Cheers!
