801 Slip-on / exhaust list

So, the bracket came for the Akra, meaning the rear pegs have now gone.
The Arrow downpipes also arrived. They are for the 790/890 Duke but fit perfectly.
Looks much nicer than the OEM downpipes, I didn’t like the cheap looking welds.
I polished the weld discolouration before I fitted them.
The headers look really good! Mainly swapped for looks? Or is there a weight saving too?

The Arrow headers indeed look really good!!
Does the belly pan still fit; also with the Arrow headers?

Yeh, it all fits fine Tom. There is more room at the front, where the two pipes join they are a little closer to the engine giving more room. Mates up to tha Cat perfectly just like OEM.

Thanks for the detailed reply. (y)

Hi guys, I got this list of exhausts for my Husqvarna Svartpilen 801 from my dealer. The idea is to get a bit more of noise from the exhaust, as I find ridiculous the stock one:

A67605979500 SILENCIADOR REMUS SLIP-ON 743€
A67605979000 AKRAPOVIČ “SLIP-ON LINE” 908€
7195PK ESCAPE ARROW INDY RACE EVO TITANIO 710€
7196AKN ESCAPE ARROW INDY RACE EVO ALUM 595€

Any info of if it is doable to take out the dbKiller (or one of the two dbKillers) on those models and put it back? (I've heard this last part can be mocked otherwise, so probably less interesting). I understand that all of them are Euro5+ as they come.

Thanks!

When I bought my 401, I also bought an Akra system for it. I spend a lot of time trying to remove the db-killer but gave up and bought a MIVV instead. The Akra db-killers (like all other legal EUR5+ exhausts) has a welded db-killer that can be very hard to remove.

I have Arrow on my Svart801 and even it should not be possible, the dB killer is just on 2 small welded points and can be removed. I found a video with same exhaust on YT (even it was for Duke 790 I think). On the other hand the sound with the killer is ok for me, I was surprised, hot good it sounds.

I couldn't resist. Today I also ordered the Arrow headers. I may give them a try with the stock catalyst and (since the stock muffler is still my favorite; and I have the spare one) with a modified stock muffler (with removed DB killer).

Did you order the Arrow Cat delete pipe as well Tom?

No, just the headers (downpipes).
A little advice if that’s Ok. The Lambda cables unscrew Ok ( there is enough slack ) When you reinstall them pre twist them first so they unwind as you tighten them 😉

Are the connectors buried up in the bike where they aren't accessible? Pretwist is good if you can't access them, but disconnecting them makes everything nicer unless you counted how many turns they unthreaded on their way out.

Yes, that's of course the way to go; first look for the connectors; if they are burried up in the bike und it's too difficult to disconnect them, count the turns and pretwist the cables before reinstalling the sensors.

Burried I think. Agree unplugging is the best option but I didn’t want to take the tank off and dig around.

From the first test it sounds indeed incrediable good; maybe too good... 😁

I removed the db-killer by drilling the sheet metal around it; afterwards some grinding and filing.
