801 owners club

I keep my bike outside....(Canary Islands)

Been using my old Husqvarna 125 Svartpilen cover to keep it dry. It doesnt quite fit.

Cant see one for the 801 yet anywhere?

What covers do you guys use or do you always keep your bike garaged?

As the bikes are always garaged (Northern Germany), I can't help with experiences, but a standard midsize cover should also fit the 801.

€105 for the heel guards. What do you guys think? Is it a good idea? I’m guessing they won’t withstand boot scrapes that well.

The Svartpilen is a scrambler; the attachments on a scrambler should be "robust"; carbon is very lightweight and "bling-bling", but not robust; to me carbon doesn't suit the Svartpilen... just imho... ;)

I like the shape of the Svart 801 radiator covers better but the forged carbon on the Vit looks awesome.

Are the svartpilen 801 readily available to get from the dealer in sweden? was thinking of heading up to norway in march-april, but not sure if it will even be riding season then

would like to know someones thoughts on whether they could have a passenger on the svart 801, or if going for a bigger bike would definitively be the better choice

The Svart 801 is absolutely available in Sweden. Check CEC or Sulas depending on where you live. I have had a few passengers on mine and they said they fit good. I haven’t ridden long with a passenger but I have had zero problems with long rides alone.

For a longer trip or two a year, it will work fine. If touring is your main planned usage however, I would choose something with a wind screen and with more space for luggage.

March / april will be cold in Norway and it will be snow / ice depending on where in Norway you’ll be going. Sweden is big, March/April is great for riding unless you are in the northern parts.
