Today I did another 300km daytrip on small twisty roads / lots of them are very bumpy with bad tarmac.
This time with the optional "Ergo rider's seat".
I was quite sceptical, but It's definitely better than the stock seat!!

Need to make some forged carbon fiber radiator covers, rear master cylinder guard and exhaust heat shield to match that wind screen.
Impeccable timing. I actually googled for forged carbon parts before I fell asleep. Couldn’t find anything, not for the 790/890 either. The wind screen looks really cool, but I would prefer not to have different types of carbon parts on the bike.

After seeing this photo (a webfind), I decided a radiator guard would definitely make sense at the bike; with the very short front fender...

Today I installed the optional Husqvarna radiator guard.

Nice! I would like to have something like that as well. I have used the on board “navigation” a few times. Works OK most of the time but can’t beat a real GPS map.

I have saved various routes on the TomTom; that's why I absolutely need it for my weekend-day-trips; and I definitely don't want to have my iPhone on the handlebars.

Looks very good! ...but now you'll definitely need a tail tidy kit!
Most definitely. Except for possibly carbon parts, a tail tidy is my only “need”. But I won’t settle for anything that looks semi-good, especially not after seeing yours that looks so good.

I want the carbon parts too. Let me know if you find any. Will probably go for an akrapovic slip on too.

Understand what you mean; and agree.
The “Grofatec” looks better than the “Mizu”; but the “Evotech”, that is made of milled solid aluminum, is a different league.

There are some nice KTM powerparts matte carbon stuff for the Duke 790/890 that will fit the 801. The chain guard, the rear hugger, the front pocket cover and some front fenders. The aftermarket Duke 790/890 belly pans will also fit. But I want forged carbon parts so they match the wind screen. Been googling like crazy and can’t find any.

The only forged carbon part I’ve found is a slip on from IXrace.

Here a link; they offer several 790 parts.
You can choose between "twill", "plain" and "forged" carbon; also "bright" or "matt".

Nice! I didn’t know they made forged parts. 3 months delivery time though.

I have an unrelated question for you. Does your bikes also seem to “rev match” by itself when you gear down, even when not using the quick shifter? It has gotten more apparent after I switched to the slip on. It’s as if the bike revs a little by itself when I gear down.

Does anyone else find the indicator switch a bit far away?

Maybe I have small thumbs, but I keep missing it, cant find it without looking when im riding.

And I have to change my grip and move my hand to indicate.

I did notice that yeah. Although ive only done 200kms so far. All motorway. First time using a quick shifter too.

Not really, but I have big hands.
