    I have one of these...

I have one of these https://uniongaragenyc.com/products/unit-garage-klickfix-racks-husqvarna-svartpilen-701 it takes a small pannier; enough for an overnight trip and looks pretty neat and unobtrusive when fitted.

    Service costs

Thanks guys. Much appreciated. I'll give it a go. I do my own servicing in older bikes so hopefully this won't be difficult.

    Mirror options

I tried bar end mirrors - didn't get on with them. They make a very narrow bike too wide, especially in London traffic. I have some Triumph Bonneville T100/T120 mirrors on mine, they work great and look good...

    Service costs

How much are people paying for servicing? I had a major service at a Main Dealer (SE England) last year that cost £636. I thought that was a lot, but swallowed it given it was a major service. 12 months on they have said my 'interim' service will be £350. For an oil and filter change?! I've...

    Time for Tyres!

Thanks for starting this thread. I like the MT60 RS, but less than 3k miles from a pair is unacceptable! I read one reviewer that reckons there was no discernible wear on his Mutants after 6k miles and thinks 10k should be achievable. Think I'll give them a go too.

    Throttle Spacer

Thank you myers64. I bought the plastic Ebay ones. When I emptied them out of the small packet I thought 'I seriously spent £20 on those?!' After fitting (slightly fiddly as they are a very tight fit) I test rode and have to say they have really improved throttle control. Much less jerkiness...

Covering svartpilen 701 ugly back of dash take 3. Now 4

Here's my attempt... I bought the Puig and was going to cut down the screen. However, I saw this in fleabay and having 'watched it' was offered it for £18. To my surprise, two of the holes already lined up with the Puig brackets, so I drilled two more and mounted it. The only problem was there...

    Tank bag

Looks ideal. Thanks for sharing that. An aside, I noticed you have hand guards. Do they have any noticeable affect on high speed handling? Any chance you could post a frontal pic of your bike with them on?

    Tank bag

The 'flat track' number board certainly does get in the way! The other issue, I think is it sounds like NickC is using the two female ended strap which comes with the smaller Kriegas. Mine is a 30 litre and has to use 4 sub frame loops which protrude from under the seat and then you use a second...

    Tank bag

Ha! Well done! That's what I tried for ages. Literally about an hour. I managed to get two straps (one each side) at the end of the pillion pad nearest the riders seat, but trying to get a pair of straps to protrude at the rear end was nigh on impossible, so I gave up after about an hour of...

    Brilliant, thank you Nick.

    Tank bag

Having discovered the pillion seat is so snugly fitted, I can't even use my Kriega tail pack straps (!) can anyone recommend a tank bag for the Svartpilen 701 please?

Ah yes, I see what you mean. I doubt those clamps would work.

    Fuel Fill 701

Thank you! So, what do you guys reckon on range at motorway speeds? Say, a steady 70mph/120kmh? Should do 120 miles?

Lots of great work on this thread! This is universal screen on eBay is claiming to be for a Svartpilen 701. Anyone tried one? I might...

    Fuel Fill 701

I'm a new Svartpilen 701 owner and had fuel range anxiety on my first ride, the stated range going from 110 miles to 'empty' in only 50 miles. It then only took 8 litres. So, the post tank recall capacity should be around 10 litres? I'll need a few more trips and fills to work out my...

    New member, new bike

I am also a new owner, of a 2019 Svartpilen 701 'Style', seemingly standard except a Leo Vince single end can and Triumph Bonneville mirrors. I've only ridden it the once, 90 miles home from when I collected it, but I love the engine and riding position; just what I was after, following years of...
