801 owners club

There are some nice KTM powerparts matte carbon stuff for the Duke 790/890 that will fit the 801. The chain guard, the rear hugger, the front pocket cover and some front fenders. The aftermarket Duke 790/890 belly pans will also fit. But I want forged carbon parts so they match the wind screen. Been googling like crazy and can’t find any.

Vitpilen 801 radiator covers (radiator spoiler set A70608960044)

IMG_6514.jpegI emailed my dealer yesterday evening about the radiator covers and the heal guards. The results should look something like this. Parts usually arrive after 3 days at my dealer. I’ve got mixed feelings about this. I always planned to get black covers and I love forged carbon, but now I’ve gotten used to the aluminium parts.

I do like the blacked-out color scheme; I've already thought about it too; along with a (dark) silver tank cover...

My plan right now (today) is to keep the skid plate aluminum, would go well with the splash of grey on the original tank. My only thought issue is I really like the beefy look of the front that silver radiator covers give. The front might look a little smaller with black radiator covers.

Crap! I was afraid it could be. The bend on the cover is a little different when comparing pics of the outside.

It shouldn't be to difficult to swap also the "bracket fairings"; everything else seems to be identical.
The "bracket fairings"are about EUR 30,- each...

Good price. I wonder how they are fitted. Meaning if they are fitted outside or inside of the radiator parts. Doesn’t look like they are fitted outside.

That adds €60 to the already semi expensive carbon parts.

It seems they are mounted from the outside to the "Radiator spoiler internals" (21, 22)

I have an unrelated question for you. Does your bikes also seem to “rev match” by itself when you gear down, even when not using the quick shifter? It has gotten more apparent after I switched to the slip on. It’s as if the bike revs a little by itself when I gear down.
This is definitely a feature. Even standing still and being in second gear, swapping to first gear with the clutch in it still revs when changing. Pretty cool.

The Husky website is still glitchy for me but it seems there are a few new accessories.
