Pirelli MT60 tires?
Likely for the Svartpilen. It was mentioned in nearly every spy shot rumor report.

Yeah, I know. I meant that it looks like these tires are being used judging from the photo of the front I uploaded in my previous post.

Looks like the taillight will be part of the tail and not hanging off the fender so that’s really good news. I was worried they were gonna go Suzuki 8s and that monstrosity.

I prefer definitely the cast wheels and even the Duke lattice rims over spoked wheels.

No maintenance needed and at least regarding to the 701 less weight.

I love the wire spoked wheels even though they have their disadvantages.

My buddy paid big money to have some wire spoked wheels custom built for his BMW.

The wire spoked wheels of the 401s are just as pretty as his custom built wheels. He was ooh and awing over them.

I had my 401 at the Husky dealer yesterday and asked the sales guy if he knew anything about the new 801/901s coming out and he said "Officially? No." [pause] "Unofficially...keep an eye out. It's gonna be hot." Then I saw the instagram post

This catch my attention. There are very few images where you can see how the seat is at the front part. At some images you can see how the seat front is pretty high, growing up attached to the tank, similar to the Yamaha MT07 solution.

But this image appear to show something very different. It's like the seat ends before the tank starts and then there is a... patch on the tank?

Kind of like it... I think :)

Dealer orders have already gone through. My dealer will contact me as soon as he knows the price but he gave me an indication and also told me these will be made in Austria. They confirmed last month that it’s coming.

(Around €12000 including the 25% VAT we have here).

12.000 €? Seriously?
With this price It' would be by far the most expensive motorbike of its segment.
The Duke 790 is less than 9.500, wouldn't it be reasonable to have a max price of 10k?

The Duke 790 is made in China, the 801s are made in Europe. So there will be a mark up due to that.

(The 801s will probably also have the fork with adjustments which the 790 doesn’t have. That fork alone is an upgrade for around €1000).

Still... The 701 Pilens were also made in Austria and they were on the price of the segment more or less.
Or my Svart 401 2018 made in Austria for example was in fact even cheaper than the next pilens 401 made in India.

I understand the logic, but the market won't receive very happily a 801 model with a 12k price. It's out ot the range of it's segment.
Even more, this is supposed to be the next step on the Husqvarna naked family. The user will go from a 5.500 401 to a 12k 801? It's double price. Too big step in my oppinion.

Just the Duke 890 GP made in Austria, which has all the "track oriented" stuff, has a price of 11.500 €.
In the case of the 801 the engine is directly made in China and then put together in Austria. My estimation is 10k max.

Maybe they are planning also a 901 pilen as the equivalent of the Duke 890 and then maybe a price of 12k has more sense. But it wasn't on the dealer's order page for this year. So maybe 2025.

I’m not saying I know the price. I’m just telling you what they told me. They didn’t know the exact price yet so it was a guesstimate from the info they had a month ago.

I know I know. Just saying that, in my oppinion, this gessing may be too high looking at the competence, even if the new 801 is considered a premium bike.
Hopefully they won't run the last 2k. 🤞

I shopped for a Vitpilen 401 in early 2019. The price was $6299 PLUS $1500 shipping from Austria. I bought a Honda CB300R instead. At the end of 2019 they blowing 401s out for $3888.

2019 701s were $11,999. They were blowing them out at the end of the year for $7888. My buddy got one at that price.

Wow... that's what I call a discount 👀
It appear that they then may have a price for early adopters? Makes sense but I feel those difference on prices are quite large. It would be taking too much advantage of the situation. But again... it make sense
