Svartpilen 801 soon to be a reality.

The price depends from how the equipment will be.If like Duke 790 with standard suspensions......i presume the price will be the one indicated by me,if Husky will supply the svartpilen 801 with adjustable suspensions I presume the price could increase more.
The 401 has adjustable suspensions so I don’t see how they could release a new 801/901 without it.
 
Maybe like entry level like 790 duke that has not adjustable suspension,for price reasons.I hope that the new will have adjustable suspensions....but look at duke 790,hornet 750,Suzuki gsxs8....all suspensions without regilations.
 
If you look at the spy shots closely you can see that it uses the 890 forks not the 790 ones based on the black caps and adjusters.. not sure if that means anything
 
I think the question of motor must be simple strategy question, does KTM choose to sell Made in China or Made in Austria for this model.
 
It will be based on the possibility to detune in to the A2 driving license in Europe.

I don't think there will be both engines in one model at Husqvarna even if KTM sells the 790 and the 890.

If a bigger engine I would preferer the 890 over the 790.

Sorry, I misunderstood. Yes, you are correct. The 790 can be detuned to A2.
 
Here in Italy only motorcycles with max 95 hp can be detuned down to 48 hp for A2 license.

I’m pretty sure the Duke 790 is 105hp outside of Europe and 95hp in Europe. I have no idea if it’s just a map-difference or something else.
 
I’ll be happy either way, 790 is great value and an 890 would be even more fun and expensive. The only thing that would be annoying is if they come out with an 801 and then a 901 the next year like they did with the original 790 and 890.

I was thinking “unlikely”, but then I realized there’s already 125cc, 250cc and 373cc. 😂

A Vitpilen 801 will work for me, I just hope they keep the price down. In my opinion the 790 is a steal at its price point in comparison to something like the Suzuki 8s. I know they’ll probably throw a up charge on it since the husqvarna line is the “premium” line, in that case though I don’t know why it wouldn’t get the 890 engine.. too confusing. Also wish they had kept the tank design the same and not added the weird wings over the front forks. Have to see how it looks with paint on if.
 
Oh and give me clip ons on the Vit, if you throw normal bars on it what’s the difference with the Svart? The little fly screen and a bash plate? Hope there are a few changes from the “spy shots” to set them apart. Otherwise it feels like the difference between them will be “bold new graphics”.

Ugly fairing (that most riders will remove)
Higher/lower bars
Front fender
Colour
Possibly different side panels for the cooler.

Yeah, I agree, clipon would make more sense than low rise bars. On the other hand, just swapping the bars will make the assembly easier.
