Hi. Does anyone have direct experience fitting risers to a 701 ? It looks to me as though it can't be done without getting a longer brake hose from m/cyl to caliper. Any help appreciated. Kind regards. Geoff. NZ.
Would you mind posting a picture of where those cable ties are? I looked but could only find one on the top meant to keep the brake line from rubbing against the top triple clamp. I'm surprised you were able to rise the bar that much, I raised it 20 mm and it is as much as I dare to do so without replacing the line.Ok. Just as a follow up to where I left off.
Inside the headlight housing, there are 2 cable ties that pull the brake line 'into' the plastic housing. If you cut those, it free's up more cable. No binding, and no need to get a longer replacement. G.
Well, that is what I thought. But since you were able to raise it 50 mm without doing so, I figure that I still have some slack available since I only added 20 mm to the stock height. If you want your risers even higher, i'd say you def will need a longer brake line.
