Svartpilen 401 Fly screen. Clear or Tinted?

I dont have one, but I saw one installed in real life, and it looked pretty sweet.

I would be willing to bet that with the aluminum screen and/or the aluminum fender installed it would give the bike a pretty cool look, especially since the 2020 comes with the aluminum colored peg holder/heel guard piece.

I'm not convinced that screen really exists? Is it orderable?
I have a couple factory accessories I want, and I can't get them in the USA...

According to google, it's on stock in EU / UK at numerous shops.

Luckily, shipping from EU to US costs like only 8 - 9 dollars, the other way round (US to EU) would cost something like 50 - 100 bucks.

Just went for a ride yesterday and I think I made right decision going clear, because you need it when you're fully tucked in going over 160km lol :devilish:

Anyone have a link to a UK store that ships this to the US? The couple shops I found were pretty expensive to ship.

I ordered from GreenlandMX.

If you go clear, you can always tint it yourself in different shades or colors with something like LaminX. It's also removable if you changed your mind later on...

D5149502-1CFB-41CC-B44A-158BCDDACEF3.jpegSo thanks to Vintage Veloce’s previous post on where to pick up one of these bad boys, I pulled the trigger on one about a month ago and just got the time to put on today. Aside from the mounting gap(see image), I really do like the look of the tinted fly screen now that it’s installed, I just don’t see how it would block any wind to be honest. We’ll see. Either way, really looks good on the bike. Thanks again Vintage Veloce!

It's not so much about blocking wind than deflecting it upwards. Away from the chest and toward the helmet which has a lot less drag. But that is tiny. No idea how effective it will be but it looks cool and has a nice gap for the camera.

Seriously considering cutting the bottom of my puig to make a similar gap instead of the indicator camera mount I still haven't finished.

I currently have been using the gopro "roll bar" mount which fits the fork tube perfectly.

Because otherwise I seem to ride through a very dark tinted world...

Resurrecting a slightly old thread -
I just installed the Husky fly screen on my 2020 Vitpilen. This is how it looks on the newer model. I was wondering why it looks so weird. It took a long time to figure out that...2020 onward has the gauge set at different angle than pre-2020 model. That's why the fly screen installs more leaned back with a much bigger gap between it and the headlight. Mmmm, I may have to do something about this. The good news is, this little thing is surprisingly effective at highway speed.

You think it fits the older bikes differently? I need a picture to compare now...
Here is my 2020 Svart:

Apparently they are! The gauge pod on the India made newer bikes are tilted slightly differently, so that the wind screen installs more of of a leaned angle, that's why there's a bigger gap between it and the headlight. Hours and hours of searching, I finally found this information on some random Japanese website talking about the Vit/Svartpilen.

Here is a shot showing the angle clearly on my 2020. The instrument is a bit raised because of the spacer that holds the flyscreen:PXL_20220501_202459030.jpgYou can see there is a slight angle difference between the face of the instrument and the to pf the triple clamp.
Can someone take and post a similar picture of their 2018/9 so we can see the angle on those earlier bikes?

I found this picture on the web... the earlier bike's instrument seems a little flatter maybe, but it's hard to tell without a better picture...
