Svartpilen 401 Fly screen. Clear or Tinted?

The angle looks different.
Hello!

It is different, just found this thread, I could confirm that on 2020+ model dash holder have different angle that on 2018-2019, but you could easily change it, like me.
I was very surprised when tried to install windshield at the first time and figure out that it looks ugly not like on photo for 2018 model.
So I just ordered dash holder from 2018 model and swap it - pretty easy process.

P.S. The parts department at my dealer is already joking with me that I love Lego, since this is far from the first piece ordered from a Duke 390 or from 2018 svart.

I didn't know that you can just use the bit from the older one. I nipped and tucked and changed the angle of the fly screen mount.

Is anyone buying these in the States? I couldn't find one here and just purchased and installed a tinted (smoke) Puig version instead:

It will probably be a little more effective, but it's on the tall side of things visually.....
I bought my tinted flyscreen from a shop in Spain, they will ship them to you. It was pricey, but I didn't care I wanted the OEM part, 161.00 Euros. . Here is their website: https://www.greenlandmx.com/int

I like my Puig. I got the dark smoke one.

In the rain, through chilly sections, or in clouds of bugs it's worth its weight. (Not that its heavy or something, it actually does what it's supposed to)

First person who saw my bike after I installed it said "you ruined it!" , so there that...
Is it an easy fit for the 2020 model or do you have to modify things?

View attachment 2445So thanks to Vintage Veloce’s previous post on where to pick up one of these bad boys, I pulled the trigger on one about a month ago and just got the time to put on today. Aside from the mounting gap(see image), I really do like the look of the tinted fly screen now that it’s installed, I just don’t see how it would block any wind to be honest. We’ll see. Either way, really looks good on the bike. Thanks again Vintage Veloce!
Hello Husky,
Your bike with flyscreen looks really good. I have a SV401 22 model.
Mounting gap is really big.
Have you met gap lead rain or water in?
I afraid connector short circuit.
Thanks

Wanted to see if anyone had tried this Windscreen before? I saw it on eBay and ships from China, $59 USD. Yes, it looks a little clunky I know but wonder if it provides better wind protection than the small one. The installation instructions also look pretty easy for the SVart. Thanks and let us know if you have. IMG_0977.jpgIMG_0978.jpg

That actually looks OK for someone wanting a bigger screen!

I went ahead and purchased the $60 windscreen so I’ll see how it works. It’s shipping from China to the US so it will be November before I get it. But will put some pics up and tell you all if it blocks the wind a little better.

I received the windscreen that I bought from China. Came in about 2 weeks which was pretty good to the US. This windscreen works great and blocks a lot of the wind when at higher speeds. I still have wind hitting my helmet but not much on the chest and body which is nice. And it doesn’t look all that weird.

Do you have a link for it? Can not find it searching bay?
EBAY Windshield Click that little link and it should take you to the item. If not I’m posting the long link below.

UPDATE: I‘ve been riding the last several days and really like this windscreen more and more. At higher speeds like 55mph+ it’s really nice to block some of the wind. Of course you’re going to still have a lot of wind on your helmet but it’s not like without out it at higher speeds. Even at lower speeds I can feel a difference. And now that I’ve gotten used to it, I actually think it looks kinda cool.

Anyone tried a removable extender on the OEM flyscreen for longer, higher speed drives?
