More Rubbers (please)

Depends on the tire brand.

Need to check the spec sheet, 160 sized tires are often 164mm or 168mm wide.

Some 160 tires will not fit because of rubbing on the chain.

Are there decent tires in 170/60??
I don't know if there are any for speed/track, but I been looking at Pirelli's scorpion Rally str for my Svartfir a while now. Their website says they make 110/80r18 for the front (which is the stock size but I have not been able to find online in the US) but not a 160/60r17 for the rear, the most similar would be 170/60.

What dies the pirelli website say?

I went with the tires they list in their Application Chart
I couldn't find a spec sheet anywhere on their website. The best reference I could find was 169 mm for the 170/60r17 from a seller's website.

Update: Pirelli Gran Turismo II
5000km - 2.8mm Tread Remaining (rear) for both middle & side profiles.

Seem to be very well suited to the local backroads 'round here.

No Michelin road 6 fans? I just ordered a set so won’t get to try them until spring comes around.
I just fitted Michelin Anakee Adventure tyres to my Svartpilen 701. Standard sizes 110/18-18 and 160/60-17. No problems with this size. I have had these tyres on my Tiger 800 and rate them very highly as road tyres in wet and dry, let alone off road.

Oh, I recently switched from ContiRoad to ContiAttack SM EVO. These seem to be a tad narrower and a bit more "pointy" making the bike less stable in a straight line, but more stable once banked over. Of course they will wear out too quick, but so far the Vit loves them.

Without pretending to do a review, I thought I would share some opinions:

Angel GT2 was very good in the rain, and worked well with the traction control on wet roads. I personally did not like the flat shape of the touring style tire on the Vitpilen.

Rosso 4 was very good. It generated grip like no other tire ive had on the bike so far, really felt like it made friction as opposed to being tacky. I am a bit torn, as much as I like the performance, from certain angles the shorter sidewall made it look too small for the bike even though it is not smaller when I measured it... like an optical illusion.

@nampus How do you like the Dunlop tires?
Pretty good so far.
The rear is starting to square off a bit now, but it's done about 7000km I think.
But I'm pretty happy with them. Happier than I was with the Michelins.
They work fine in the rain as well. Dry grip is excellent, had no moments on them.
Would happily use them again.
The rear is almost done, but I think the front still has quite a bit of life left on it. So I might try the dunlop qualifier core on the rear to finish the front.

Yeah, I figured I would give them a go as I normally get along ok with the Michelin.
Next the RoadAttack 4 will go on after the Power 5 are done.

The Power 5 didnt last as long as I had intended, probably cause they started with only 5.3 mm tread, so I went with another set of Rosso 4.

Will wait a few weeks for the Conti RoadAttack.

I am midway my first set of Conti Attack SM EVO, and I couldn't wish for a better tire (ok, apart from the wear possibly). They make the bike more agile/flickable and feel less harsh than the Contiroad I used to run. Max is a happy man. And the second set is already underway.
