Introduce yourself here!

Ladies. Gents. Good Morning. My name is Rian and I am a fairly new 2019 Vitpilen 701 owner in Atlanta, Georgia. I actually just discovered this forum on Monday and I am delighted that I found it considering that the other Pilen forum is relatively stagnant. I bought the bike the day after Christmas and it is currently sharing a garage with my 2012 Duc 848 evo.

Realistically, at 6'8, I am way too tall and at 284lbs I am wayyyy too fat for the vit but it is honestly one of my favorite bikes since the Ducati 916. The design is flawless. Having said all of that, its not without its flaws. At 600 miles, its currently in the shop for multiple oil leaks including the clutch cover, sprocket cover and a another inspection cover but other than that, I love the bike. I have a few mods already including:

-custom raised seat
-rage cycles front and rear signals w/ plate relocation
-puig aluminum shield
-leo vince slip on
-crg mirrors (not installed yet)
-custom painted rear tank plate (in engine case bronze color)

Currently, my main future mod plan is a set of Andreani fork cartridges to combat my fat ass weight and horrible front suspension. Perhaps the Badwinners tft dash when that comes out as well. Anyways, good to be here yall. here are a few pics of the bike's progression so far.
Welcome Riapax - nice bikes

Welcome Rian, love the stitching on your seat, looks great.
So i actually had the upholstery shop match the color of the stitching to the fuel cap/engine case. I originally wanted to to a natural/buckskin color with silver stitching but i figured this one was more subdued and more in line with the original concept of the bike.

New Member here. After realizing that I wanted to do more track days & in need of something lighter than my 2003 Honda RC51 (& after recently turning 56) I picked up a 2020 701 Vitpilen. I raced Harescrambles in Texas during the late 80’s and finally got my Roadracing license with OMRRA at age 53. Temporary Pics of the current scooters included... until I get the garage & bikes cleaned up. Great to have this forum which is so easy to use. Cheers!

Hi people, I’ve noticed this thread exists so I’ll say hi to you all too. I’m David, a Dane living in Germany and haven’t had my 2018 Vitpilen for that long, but managed to customize it like I like it in a short time. This forum helped me quite a lot before I created an account and even got my Vitpilen delivered so I all ready knew what i wanted to do with it, so thanks for that :) Fast photo just taken.

Thanks. The carpet makes it 100 times harder to find lost screws, but it’s so soft when I’m laying on the ground and working on the motorcycles. Worth it 😌

Hi everyone, my name's Paul and I'm new owner of a 2018 Vitpilen 701. The bike was a leftover that I traded in my 2017 Kawi Z900 for and got a smoking deal. Had it now a couple of weeks but, due to the weather, only got to ride it around my neighborhood. Just that short ride was amazing...I can't wait to get the break in done and really get on it. I did a few small mods. Removed the fork reflectors, got a bar end mirror, put on a Leo Vince can and, thanks to this forum, removed the air box cover. MNNTHXB fender eliminator should be here this week and I'm truly looking forward to getting rid of the stock fender. I think the new Vit makes a great addition to the garage...going to be a fun bike!

Welcome Bosco!
How about a comparison report between the 701 and the green Kawasaki? Those must be different!
