I would probably go with a 19mm master because I like how it feels but it’s kind of up to you, the 19 will be more on the “squishy” side and the 20 more on the “wooden” side. Thanks for your quick reply
I almost made a mistake; I was about to buy the 1290 discs, so I'm going to buy a second 701 disc instead for better alignment of the center hole.
I had planned to use custom custom brake line made. I'll take a closer look at the hose connection point on the ABS.
For the master cylinder, I saw that you chose the Brembo PR19 RCS, which is adjustable to 19x18 or 19x20.
I don't think I'll go for that model (a bit too expensive for my project).
- Would you recommend a 19mm? And for the lever stroke, 18 or 20? On the model I'm planning to buy, the stroke (18 or 20) isn't adjustable, so you have to choose it from the outset.
Last question:
- Has the ABS ever been activated since you've been riding with the two discs, and did it works properly?
Thanks !
Marc

Hello,
I'm in the process of assembling it. The wheel fits perfectly with the axle and spacers on the 790 fork.
However, the 790/890 stanchions (Inner fork tubes) are 35 mm shorter than the Vitpilen stanchions.
But, once the fork is raised, the height difference is only 7 mm. (the internal mechanism with the spring of the vitpilent recovers height)
Thank you !
You don't have to. You can lace the 18" rim to the double rotor hub.Damn... how cool would it be to do this on the Svartpilen 701 too. But I don't think I'd give up the 18" spoked wheel just to be able to do this dual brake disc mod![]()
I finally finished installing the second disc. All that's left is to attach the front fender. That’s quick progress! I don’t remember what measurements I had when I installed it but this is how much my forks stick up. View attachment 8066
