801 owners club

4400 miles / 7081 kms (and a first puncture repair!)

More than 7000km with the Pirelli and the tire tread still looks so good?!?
OK, (despite from the puncture... ;)) you're a tire whisperer!! (y)

Phone call from the dealer today, the heated grips ordered in august won't be available til February and maybe even later afterwards.... :/
Proposed me compatible for a fraction of the price though, do you guys use any of them ?

Ordered my heated grips end of April and still haven't gotten mine. I don't want a third party accessory unless it integrates with the system like the original ones and if it does, Id still be skeptical since the overall warranty might be an issue.

I ordered the heated grips here in Sweden at the same time that I ordered my bike, middle of september. Got a message from them this week that they had arrived. Will install then when I do the forst service.

@801FAN I just noticed; they changed the part number of the "heated grip kit"; the old kit fitted the 801 and also the Duke 390, in the new kit a bracket is included to fit the kit also to some other bikes like the KTM Adventure.
The kit with the old part number is still available; at least here in Germany.

The old part number is 96011944044

The new part number is A60112964044

Thanks Tom, i just called the dealer and he never heard of the new ref A60112964044 which isn't available in France yet, apparently...

We'll wait and see...

Thanks Tom, as usual you are very resourceful, better than my dealer ! I forwarded him the link ! ^^

So you can do mecanic, craftmanship, tech support, sales ! Hope you are married cause if not someone is missing something ! Can you cook ? ^^

looks perfect weather Tom! Surely you will continue riding until winter hits?
The pics are from some weeks ago; now the weather here in northern Germany is consistently sh...; and with the 801 I have a seasonal registration plate (04-10)...

I've not heard of that before (seasonal plate). Makes sense because you just tax the bike for the months you can ride... I try to ride all year if possible, but obviously not if below 4℃ or too wet.
