801 owners club

My heated grips finally landed at the dealership, even him was surprised ! ^^
Things maybe are getting back to normal on spare parts.... Dunno which one though, old ref or new...

I got mine installed yesterday as well as a requested software update due to the automatic indicator turn-off function working poorly. Also had them do a check on my front brakes since they are really wobbly and poor (theyve sent images and tolerances to Husqvarna) so hopefully itll be fixed on warranty.

Let us know what your feedback is with these grips... These days have been kinda warm, i almost haven't fitted the winter gloves yet ! Never used those heating grips, i wonder if i can keep up my summer gloves that i prefer a lot ! I guess it depends on temperature, but i don't ride when too cold !

I installed handguards and bought thick gloves since I drive when its pretty cold. Yesterday when I tried the heated grips it took about 20-30 minutes till they heated up properly but once warm it was a delight. The grips are somewhat slippery though and slightly thicker than the original ones. Any tips on the slipper part?

Cheap Oxford grip heat up much quicker than the OEM ones. The factory ones only have 3 settings, low, medium and high. I haven't been on a long ride yet so will report back when I've lived with them for a bit. Beats having no heated grips though!

Do we have an automatic indicator turn off on the 801 ?! .. guess mine works quite poorly as well then. How fast is it supposed to switch off, and under what circumstances?

Yes, it's called "ATIR" AUTOMATIC TURN INDICATOR RESET

It works best in combination with sharp turns like roundabouts.

Ah! Software option.. not part of the dynamic pack is my guess. Any way of running the xc2 tool locally or need to get to a dealer ?

It comes as a default without packs. For me, it turns off the blinkers after ~5s during a lane change at highway speeds.
