First service booked for next Monday. Definitely adding Easy Shift. What do we think of the Dynamic option? Worth it or not guys.

Out of curiosity I have added the "Dynamic Mode" package; but to be honest, it was just some fun to test it; but (imho) it's definitely not a "must have". With the 2024 SP I do also have the "Easy Shift", but I deactivated it; I do still prefer the clutch for my (sometimes "hooligan") riding style on small, curvy and sometimes quite bumpy backroards. But maybe it's just me; and I'm just too old school... 😁

I don’t use the quickshifter a lot, only sometimes, pretty seldom.

I do however always ride in dynamic mode.
Throttle response: Sport
Wheelie angle: Medium
Slipadjust: 3 (or 8 when it’s very wet)

I do like to wheelie and it drove me crazy to have to turn off the ABS and TC every time I wanted to wheelie. That’s mostly why I bought the dynamic mode, plus I got a good discount on it. The only downside to running in dynamic mode is it’s not possible to use the super clean dash setting.

I have use clutchless shifting a lot already. It’s easier to go up a gear with the front wheel up. We also have lots of Very twisty and undulating rods here with very little traffic, it’s why I chose the bike Tbf. I much prefer the road less traveled

Yonsson, see my reply to Tom above. Looks like Dynamic might be better for my monowheeling activities

Some time in the garage this weekend. If you are looking to replace turn signals or whatnot they are finally using a waterproof connector that I can find on these bikes. Second image shows the connectors and pins you need to order.

Took my garage opener off the 401 and wired it into the accessory position behind the headlight.

Then machined a plate and put in switchgear.

Finally got to go for a nice long ride today, this bike is a hoot. At low speeds and loads it suffers from some surging, I'm guessing that is just a function of running very lean. Going to be getting a FuelX lite for it soon.

Are the connectors different to the standard KTM/Husqvarna connectors used at standard indicator adapter cables? They look identical.

5000km so far. Very happy with the bike!
OK breaks, great suspension, great motor, great handling, nice sound with open end can, great looks and very comfortable riding position.

Since installing the FuelX I can ride 25km/h in second gear and it hasn’t died on me since I installing it. The only issue I’ve had with the bike is that it died on me a few times before I installed it.
is it difficult to install the fuel x?

I find the bike a bit spluttery at low speeds, would the fuel X help?

Holy hell. Ok, I guess that is a lot cheaper than buying the parts and assembling the connectors yourself. I've never seen them outside of the ridiculously priced ones from Rizoma.

It definitely helps. I haven’t had a stall since installing it and I can use the second gear in 25km/h-30km/h which I couldn’t before.
It’s a little fiddly but getting the headlight back together with all the wires inside was worse.

Did they lower the price on the 2025 models? The 2025 Vitpilen is a lot cheaper than the 2024 Svartpilen here.
Yes no easy sh
Here in Europe/Germany easy shift is integrated as a standard feature in the 2024 Svartpilen 801.
2025 (Svartpilen 801 and Vitpilen 801) easy shift is optional.

5300km. Service tomorrow and switch to Road 6 tires.
I would strongly suggest Dunlop Mutants. I had them on a 1300GS and they lasted 10,000km and they’re still in there…maaaaybe another 500-1000km but I dunno.

I had the Road 6 on the 401 and they too are a good tire but there’s just something about the Mutants I like.

I’m in need for a new set on the 1300GS, and I was thinking the Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR, instead of the Mutants but I can’t pull the trigger cause I can’t decide if I wanna try the STR or just stick with another set of Mutants.
