801 owners club

I have an unrelated question for you. Does your bikes also seem to “rev match” by itself when you gear down, even when not using the quick shifter? It has gotten more apparent after I switched to the slip on. It’s as if the bike revs a little by itself when I gear down.

I didn't notice anything like you discribed.
But I don't know whether it's a good idea to change individual components of the system on "Euro 5 plus" motorcycles if they are not 100% adapted to the system; the components are now far too coordinated with one another. The engines are set to be very lean and therefore consume very little fuel.
Already on the "older" motorcycles we threw out the catalytic converter, installed an open silencer and a much larger air filter; and then had to fine-tune this on the test bench with a Dynojet/Powervision so that exactly the right amount of petrol could be used.

I just swapped out the slip on, nothing else. Might possibly swap out the air filter to a K&N filter next year. Don’t feel the need for a FuelX at all at this point but if I add a K&N filter, I’ll also add the FuelX.

Maybe interesting to you; it's about the "Euro 5 plus" requirements; It is written in German, but you can use a translater.
The requirements are crazy!

They are tiny!

Hi Piotr!
No, they are not tiny; but OK, they are small / definitely way smaller than the stock turn signals.
I'm looking for a smaller alternative to fix the problem with the Evotech tail tidy and the melted tip of the stock turn signals.

Here an example of some "tiny" turn signals (Motogadget "mo.blaze tens")... 😉

Brother from another mother 😂
Got to my parked bike and there was a 701 parked next to it.

Next tiny project; a small luggage rack made from the optional pillion seat cover...

While reassembling the bike with the stock turn signals, I testfitted a Ducati Monster windshield that I still have unused on the shelf; it's made from brushed aluminium.

I currently have no plans to install a windshield instead of the stock flyscreen, but with some custom brackets it should be possible to fit it to the 801.

Old indicators?

Yes; again the stock turn signals; now with a small heatshield.

The small Motoism LED turn signals don't work as they should; even with some custom adapters with some resistors, that should compensate the differnce wattage.
No exact idea why, but it seems they are not compatible with the electronic of the 801.
