I have no personal experience with the brake-problem and also don't know how the machining of the contact surfaces was carried out. I got the information from two KTM forums when I was researching for the 320mm brake discs.

Since the brake discs are floating, a minimal tolerance shouldn't really be relevant at all. I suspect that the material of many Galfer brake discs is simply faulty/unsuitable and warps due to the heat during braking.

Damn, this is beyond disappointing! I do really hope they'll get it fixed! The Brembo discs are working absolutely fine.

Don't know if it helps, but I've read in a KTM forum that even a slightly "faulty" battery (that still starts the engine and seems to retain its capacity) can cause all kind of electrical/electronic problems such as ABS errors, etc.

Mine is also slightly offset (second pic). The dealer also wanted to replace it under warranty; but the new gas tank he received from KTM/Husqvarna was even worse...

But why a decat at all? Why not just stick with a less than stock restrictive slip-on?

I've removed the rear pegs not because of the exhaust, but as I don't ride the 801 with a pillion and of course as it looks much "cleaner". I've not tested it, but from what I've read, about all exhausts also fit with the rear pegs in place. As I don't use the bike for commuting through town but...

Hi Imandelin, I've not tested the long 801 Remus. I do like the quite special design of the hydromformed NXT-Remus, but the 801 version is too long for my liking. Agree! I'm still also very impressed of the 3M wrap; to me it was kind of an experiment; before I started, I feared it might become an absolute disaster with the quite challanging form of the covers; but instead it worked absolutely fine; and I can indeed highly recomend the 3M wrap.

The first one I started at the top and then worked downwards. The second one I started from the side upwards and downwards; it worked even better. Yes, I think the stickers will be visible under the wrap. Here some pics from the wrapping of the first cover.
