    Passenger comfort 2021 Vitpilen 401?

You can't put risers on the Vitpilen. Some people swap for the Svartpilen triple tree top portion and bars. You might be able to find somebody with a damaged bike selling the top of the triple tree, they usually survive a crash that bends forks etc. Here's the difference. This is the Vitpilen...

    Chain Tension - Following Directions/Experience

Chain slack and adjustment point can also be related to rear shock travel, swing arm length, and how closely the swing arm pivot is set to the countershaft sprocket. Designers generally keep pivot aligned to the sprocket for normal riding but as the rear end tops out / bottoms out, the slack...

    Chariots!

Hey, they're back! The police used to do this at the Royal Easter Show (a great Sydney expo) back in the 30s, except they were on police HDs. There are some YT clips of them and the announcer with a very clipped 'official' radio voice - Aussie sounding like a Brit.

    Passenger comfort 2021 Vitpilen 401?

Perhaps a small Airhawk seat would help. That will allow some hip rotation as well as softening the ride.

2020+ Svartpilen and Vitpilen Seat Options

Depending on the year model of your bike you could get the rear rack that replaces the pillion seat. It sells as a separate unit - I don't know if the rear seat is available as a single piece. I think you need to be 2020 or before for the rack to fit.

Is it just me or does the engine feel more peppy when you set it to supermoto mode?

I'll have to give it a try. I thought it only did the ABS settings.

    Fuel tank vent issue

Can you push some tubing against the hole in the cap and blow/suck to see if it's clear? That might mean you don't have to pull it apart.

fender delete / tail tidy / license plate mount. Made my own.

Nice paint job, it looks very integrated like that. I see people doing the fender delete often but I've always liked the 'possum catcher' style rear piece. I think they made a change to the design for the 2020 bikes, the early ones were a bit too small to stop splash etc and the new models have...

    Ride Pictures!

That looks like a guardian bell - a bit of light-hearted biker superstition that the road is littered with gremlins and the bell stops them from jumping onto your bike. They should only be given as a gift (they don't work if you buy your own) and they are hung on the lowest part of the bike to...

No Front adjustable suspension on the new 401 2022

I think there was another owner from Central or Sth America who found the same. It appears they don't have the adjustable forks for that whole market.

    Rear Wheel Assembly

The list accompanying the diagram shows three spacers, parts 5, 24 and 27. It looks like the top left spacer in your photo is 27 as it has no flange. That leaves 5 and 24. I had a look at my bike and there is very little to see from behind as they are all tucked inside and not obvious...

Need 21’ svart 401 brake levers!

I found a pic of the home made ball end on the Agusta.

Need 21’ svart 401 brake levers!

I've repaired the front brake lever from a friend's MV Agusta which had the ball end snapped off. A new lever was going to cost something like $400 out of Italy. I drilled a hole near the end and screwed in a short countersunk head bolt with a nyloc nut, the nut on the front face of the lever...

    Hello!

Here is the Svart online owner's manual. If you go to page 119 you can see the shape of the whole setup. https://www.husqvarna-motorcycles.com/ktmgroup-storage/20_3402394_en_OM.pdf

    Hello!

Those risers are not stock. Here's what stock looks like. The distance from the bottom of the black wedge shape to the centerline of the bar is 40mm. They are designed so you can reverse the risers and it moves the bars back/forward about 10mm.

    Cornering ABS retrofit on 401s

I suspect you would have to swap more than the IMU. That module would be talking with the vehicle control computer and then to the ABS unit. If those components are not identical to the 401 then the swap won't work.

New Svart401!! (and member to the forum)

I just went to check my bike, and it's the same as yours. It might be for a holding stud used at some stage of manufacture that is then ground off once it's no longer needed.

    Svartpilen 401 rear seat attachment/clamping?

There are lots of bikes that are similar if they have a two piece seat. My Triumph Tiger 900 is similar in that it has the two prongs at the front that hook under the rider seat, and a spigot that latches into the frame. We've moved from 'same' to 'similar' so the field has become pretty wide.

    Svartpilen 401 rear seat attachment/clamping?

Probably not considering that there is a difference between the 18/19 models and the 20/21. The early bikes have a shorter pillion seat so even if the catch is in the same place the overall sub-frame is different. You could find a Duke 390 and check, but you'll have to keep in mind that model...
