My only slight regret is the gold chrome forks which I still prefer to black stock, but are bit too pretentious and flashy. The satin gold is a little more to my liking but I had to remove it to fix a fork seal, and wanted to...
That is a vvivid wrap. I recently had to remove the flat gold for servicing a fork seal leak as the fork tubes will not slide out with it on.
Not fond of the black, I went back on with a gold chrome or faux anodized look just for a change.
Easy way to provide a custom look that can...

This shows the center mount adapter made from alum. bar stock 1/8" thick. It is drilled 1" center to center on the holes. You will also notice a 1/4" spacer at the back attachment point to provide the necessary...
I have another suspension problem. Left fork seal leak ( 2 year old bike, 5400 miles)
It is unfortunate I tried the home remedy of using Fork Mate after discovering the problem months ahead of warranty expiration.
The leak was so minor and I ride so infrequently I was not sure it was...
The Triumph looks to be more of a direct competitor than anything so far.
I like the looks.
In terms of weight and power is appears miles ahead of comparable Royal Infields, We will have to wait and see if it retains typical Truimph handling and quality.
My main complaint with the Svart is...
Just speculating . The pictures are supposedly of the Vitpilen, though the bar placement looks like current Svart. The "scrambler" (Svarpilen) variant is more likely to have higher exhaust placement, spoked wheels, simi knobies and the front fender and lighter brake disc from the bike in...
Agree on all counts,,,, that is on the top one. I'm guessing the bottom one is a preproduction test mule?
They got rid of the rear axle mounted mud guard too, another plus cutting unsprung weight.
Note the difference in front discs. I could almost think the top one is the new 801 due to it's...
That is interesting.
At first glance I thought it was new 701. New engine and exhaust, new frame, swingarm. Total redo. Looks more generic. Could be a Yammy or Kawasaki.
JMO, but I think the styling has been going steadily down hill ever since the original was introduced. Does sound...
I like riding my 21, but for quality, it aint no Honda. When is last time you heard of one of those blowing a head gasket? I did buy mine used with 5k miles on it though. Among the quality issues I have encountered , Loose fasteners, warped left side body panel and both panels have to be...
I found that by jacking up from under the engine, when you reach the right height and relieve most of the spring tension, the pivot rod will slide out easily as the follow rod pushes it out. At most, it should require just light tapping. If you have to hammer, you are at the wrong height and...
As the owner of a '21, sorry to hear it, but suspected as much. I would add , IMO, with the silver wheels and gloss black paint, they looked better as well.
