2024 Svartpilen 401 Pictures!

That is interesting.
At first glance I thought it was new 701. New engine and exhaust, new frame, swingarm. Total redo. Looks more generic. Could be a Yammy or Kawasaki.
JMO, but I think the styling has been going steadily down hill ever since the original was introduced. Does sound like instruments will be much improved, something sorely needed.

I kinda of like the exhaust and front fender. The exhaust seems to have gotten rid of the separate resonator box and merged it with the muffler.
But I prefer the more obviously trellised frame on the earlier models.

Agree on all counts,,,, that is on the top one. I'm guessing the bottom one is a preproduction test mule?
They got rid of the rear axle mounted mud guard too, another plus cutting unsprung weight.
Note the difference in front discs. I could almost think the top one is the new 801 due to it's resemblance to the old 701, but I can detect no differences in the engines or frames of these two so probably not.

Just speculating . The pictures are supposedly of the Vitpilen, though the bar placement looks like current Svart. The "scrambler" (Svarpilen) variant is more likely to have higher exhaust placement, spoked wheels, simi knobies and the front fender and lighter brake disc from the bike in the lower picture.
Hard to take the bike pictured with this low exhaust could still be called a scrambler. Exhaust placement as much as anything defines a scrambler.
Then again the term scrambler may be just something in the mind of the writer, not Husqvarna.
Sorry, starting to ramble.

Even now the Svart/Vit do not have spoked wheels in some markets, so anybody's guess about next time around.

The top picture really does seem to have a "street fighter" look to me. No scrambler pretensions. Yet.
Maybe this is the new Vitpilen and it comes with high bars?
I remember these old pics from earlier in the development (Mar 2022), that looked more Svartpilen-like. But That was a long time ago...

Does anyone else like the black&white look, very mad max...
They should definitely consider rerouting exhaust imho.

I l;ove seeing the frame in a cotrasting color. The white might be a bit too loud to offset the bkacl, maybe a silver would be perfect, IMO.

Too bad about the handlebar. I love the clip ons on my Vit but they'll sell a lot more with a riser bar.

I love the hugger look but it might be a sign that it's a fading fad.

2024 vs 2022.
The 2024 looks very generic to me. Could just as well have been a Honda CB400. A few extra ponies would be nice, but no way I’m swapping my 2022 if the 2024 looks like that.

The looks are more middle of the road for sure but still good looking. If it's a better bike then it's better.

2023 401:

IMG_0214.jpeg

2024:
45 hp, 39Nm
165kg

2023 401:
44hp, 37Nm
152kg

That means the 2024 will be slower than the 2022/2023 models. Quite disappointing…
