The new 401s look great and the old 401s look great.View attachment 4936
To be fair I think the new models look great except for the exhaust. What I’m most interested is though, is what comes after 401.![]()
Low bars look cool but there’s a reason why a lot of Vitpilen riders put on higher bars. The fact that there’s even original accessories to get high bars on the Vitpilen is further proof that there’s a high demand on higher bars on the Vitpilen. I’m guessing the new tank also eliminates the possibility to use ckipons.LMAO at the negative comments about clip-ons in the vids about the new 401s from the "oh muh back" crowd.
I think the Svartpilen in the vid has a “race” exhaust from Remus. The Vit is supposed to be a modern take on a 60's cafe bike, I don't understand why they would take away the spoked wheels. I think I'm the only person who likes the exhaust, I would rather have it under the bike and out of sight
Edit: Wait, that video above shows the 401 with a normal upswing exhaust. I guess all those other spy shots were bogus.
They're not just for looks. They make so much sense on a naked bike. Brilliant of Husqvarna to have offered them.Low bars look cool but there’s a reason why a lot of Vitpilen riders put on higher bars. That’s interesting because the Aprilia looks crazy fast style wise. The A2 category restricts the top power so I guess weight is a big factor. While I was on YouTube watching vids about the new 401s I saw a vid from India about the Aprilia RS 457. It's a parallel twin with 270 degree crank.
The reviewer said that the motor lacked the excitement of the new Duke 390.

This! My 401 is fun to rip around on, but if I am doing any serious riding I take the 701, a 801 or 901 would be even better. The new dash is a huge improvement imoView attachment 4936

You don't have to wait too long to see what's coming after the 401.View attachment 4936

I hope not. Do you have a release date? You wrote February in another thread. You don't have to wait too long to see what's coming after the 401.
I know, it’s a presentation of the design development. But the headlight reads 701. So rather it’s old or it’s new. I’ve never seen a headlight with 701 in it before.Thats an old 401 though.
