To be fair I think the new models look great except for the exhaust. What I’m most interested is though, is what comes after 401. 😜

The new 401s look great and the old 401s look great.

I like the stubby under the motor exhaust on the new Vitpilen.

LMAO at the negative comments about clip-ons in the vids about the new 401s from the "oh muh back" crowd.

Low bars look cool but there’s a reason why a lot of Vitpilen riders put on higher bars. The fact that there’s even original accessories to get high bars on the Vitpilen is further proof that there’s a high demand on higher bars on the Vitpilen. I’m guessing the new tank also eliminates the possibility to use ckipons.
 
The Vit is supposed to be a modern take on a 60's cafe bike, I don't understand why they would take away the spoked wheels. I think I'm the only person who likes the exhaust, I would rather have it under the bike and out of sight :D

Edit: Wait, that video above shows the 401 with a normal upswing exhaust. I guess all those other spy shots were bogus.

I think the Svartpilen in the vid has a “race” exhaust from Remus.

They're not just for looks. They make so much sense on a naked bike. Brilliant of Husqvarna to have offered them.

That they were offered is proof that there's a demand for them. Not as much as risers but still significant.

If I were to get the new Vit I'd install a Rizoma Race Retro bar. I did it on my previous bike, a Honda CB300R. Note the Husqvarna mirrors.

In the MCN vid it showed the Svart with an upswept Remus exhaust but the Vit had an under the motor exhaust. That makes sense on a scrambler.

It is interesting that they had the Remus exhaust installed which suggests that it might sound decent. I've seen a lot of disappointment with aftermarket exhausts on singles, including the Akrapovic.
 
While I was on YouTube watching vids about the new 401s I saw a vid from India about the Aprilia RS 457. It's a parallel twin with 270 degree crank.

The reviewer said that the motor lacked the excitement of the new Duke 390.

That’s interesting because the Aprilia looks crazy fast style wise. The A2 category restricts the top power so I guess weight is a big factor.
