What's the purpose of the exhaust chamber?

To be honest, could not tell much difference. A little louder would fine. I think I might get one.
Thanks.
Go for it no need for a tune, saves weight and won't attract any unwanted police attention for having a not road Auth silencer etc.

Makes me wonder why Husky would have put the chamber on in the first place. It's heavy, ugly and cannot be that cheap to make; bet one ordered from the factory would cost a small fortune.
Looks like they could have just enlarged the muffler a little to meet noise regs.

I've done the chamber delete as well but I mean, no chamber and no slipon.
I put a old exhaust tip str8 at the cat as a test:

It could sound good with a proper tip similar to this:

but I reverted to stock as its deafening loud..

I see that you just removed the chamber I installed this link pipe and retained standard silencer so it isn't so loud.

It was a pig to fit in honesty, getting the right angle for the mid pipe, header and silencer took a fair bit of trial and error. But in the end it worked ok and managed to use standard mount for the old chamber and one of the bushings from it. I'll take a pic and post when I get a chance

I haven’t dyno-ed, so I don’t have the actual data, but I think after the chamber removal, mine seems to have lost a bit of low end torque.

By the way, the eBay mid-pipe was terrible! The first one just didn’t fit at all. And the seller sent me the second one (“don’t bother sending it back”) lined up better, but it was still pulling on the muffler hanger. I ended up sending both of the, back, and bought one from competition werkes, which installed without an issue.

You folks have it backwards… Leave the pre-chamber and delete the muffler, it sounds great. Add this $10 exhaust tip that weighs almost nothing and you’re good to go! https://m.alibaba.com/product/1600776819575/REALZION-Motorcycle-Exhaust-Escape-Hidden-Muffler.html

I’ve run this setup on my 2022 with both the 2022 & 2018 exhaust systems and it works well. The pre-chamber is really all you need.

Here’s a video of the stubby exhaust tip with OEM chamber & early exhaust routing (with catalytic converter).

Any idea how changing the header for a non-cat one on that stubby would affect noise/performance?

I've ordered the stubby btw, got two incase anyone in NZ is interested in one.

Literally how I'm running mine . . . . sounds Awesome & the KAT acts as a nice buffer to avoid the lawnmower sound!

We all do what we want & less of what we need but thats a good thing to a certain degree. Decatting a 400cc!?!? A guy near me has a (disgusting) 400cc Kawasaki ZX , it sounds so bad , makes so much noise & takes agaes doing it because the bikes not quick enough to get on with it :)

Have you done this? How have you found it?
