Vitpilen 801

I do not want to upset our larger cc brothers in the 801 forum but…..
I prefer the Vitpilen to the Svartpilen!
Spoked wheels would have looked much better on both bikes though or almost any bike that is not a sports bike. I love spoked wheels…!

Something like this may work. I put one on a Honda CB300R.

Still think they would hit the tank on full lock unless you set them at the same height as the standard bars, then you would just have bars further forward.
Years ago I thought I wanted lower bars on my Hornet 600, it already had low Renthals and the hand controls were already really close to hitting the tank on full lock. I fitted Gilles adjustable clip ons at a ridiculous cost at the time. I got the bars lower but much further forward, too far forward in fact. The different in body position and weight change thereafter meant I would get really nasty tank slappers at anything over 60mph, actually dangerous tank slappers. I considered a steering damper and then common sense made me go back to the Renthals low bars, normal service was resumed.
My point being you can lower the bars on the new Vitpilen but probably at the expense of comfort and possibly control.
I like the slightly lower bars over the Svartpilens but I believe with that tank clip ons will never work, ever.

Those Rizoma bars worked great on the Honda,

They had to be tilted just right to not hit the tank but it was very close. I filed off the dimples on the bottom of the control pods.

They have a rise which can be mounted up or down, I mounted them down.

I took a chance buying those bars not knowing if they'd work. They weren't cheap. They made that Honda look so cool.

Hey guys I just did another video going through the whole TFT dash I’m going to try and do a riding video soon I need to get a helmet mount for my camera but hopefully soon.
