Tuning

One thing I have noticed the last few days riding with the PC V is that there seems to be a weird sensation when rolling off the throttle, almost like a delay or snatchyness, I’m not sure if that’s due to it being wired inline of the TPS,crank sensor and coils or what.. it’s not that big of a deal just slightly annoying sometimes.

Yeah no lid, it’s almost like sometimes there is a perceptible lag between closing the throttle and the engine reducing rpm, very slight

My Favorite of all the non-Power-Commander type is probably the inline o2 eliminator.
- it works pretty much the same as the simple dongle to eliminate the sensor signal, except the other wires still plug-in so the sensor can be left inside the pipe.

I have noticed the same thing. There is a ā€œreprogramping of the throttle position sensor that is in my plans. I just moved from Washington State to Louisiana & Mississippi. I will get it done after my track day at Barber in Alabama on May 7th & 8th. I will post up later.

There are 2 different kevs mod.

The O2 Sensor Controller on top affects the closed loop. The adjustable Fuel Mod Dongle modifies the temp sensor signal with a potentiometer. (Similar like the Booster Plug but adjustable.) From my understanding the Fuel Mod Dongle affects closed and open loop and has the risk of over rich mixture. Most people refer the O2 Sensor Controller as Kev’s Mod. But you are right, Kev has two Mods and the Fuel Mod Dongle does the ā€œtemperature thingā€. BTW is someone familiar with what the Austrians call ā€œKastlā€? Is it different from Kev’s O2 Sensor Controller or pretty much the same?

The kastl from Myjet in Vienna doesnt plug into the o2 sendor or the air temp sensor.

The kastl gets spliced inline with the Injector cable and the throttle position sensor.

That is why it typically requires dyno tuning, or the exact configuration as a bike which has already been dyno tuned.

Its like a power commander for fuel only and not fuel + ignition.

Basically there are 3 options:
1. Bike ecu still in control control
Let the bike put itself into "safe mode" using a dongle to simulate a faulty o2 sensor

2. Indirect control
Trick the bike to do something different by changing a sensor signal

3. Direct control
Modify injection and/or ignition signals to the injector and ignition.

The kastl falls under #3 where the kev mods would be #2

Is the tps reprogramming something the dealer has to do with the husqvarna scan tool? Curious to hear how it works for you because it does feel like something needs to be tweaked.
