TOP SPEED

390 Adventure 45T rear, and a non sealed chain.

Seems that this pipe peaks its power in the exact right place for top speed.
Just hope it isnt running lean...not sure what the signs would be on a bike that is always lean anyways...

124 MPH with cat and choked air box? ... forgetting that you are on on a 401

Yes, the GPR high level has a euro 4 cat inserted, a fat db killer, and is street legal; which is why I bought it.

I also had the stock airbox lid installed with Hiflo Filtro paper filter inside.

Engine Oil was about halfway through its useful life for that run.

2020 Vit 701 with Stock gearing (16-40T), PCV/Rottweiler MAP, arrow by-pass pipe, fuel dongle & removed air box lid. Dash indicated 127mph for about 3 seconds before having to back out due to running out of room/time… and I was not able to verify RPM’s yet…so far. It got up to that point fairly quickly then just stopped building during that last 3 seconds.

I noted down the difference between GPS and Dash, as well as the difference between the Tach and the Real RPM, because both are... as typical to modern vehicles, reading way higher.

How is it with the 701, does the cat delete move the peak HP to a lower RPM?

From my tests, the pipe that probably makes the least max power got the highest top speed...

I have noticed that the Japanese manufactured bike tend to be way more overzealous with their dash readings than European bikes. For example my Aprilia Tuono is pretty accurate when I’m running a 190/55 rear tire. I’ll have to try the Vit again with a backup GPS app for comparison.

& on your second comment, I do find myself short-shifting at the track more for better drives.

Very interesting, my zx6r and vfr both were almost exactly correct at speeds of 150+ mph, with new tires of course.

At 60mph they may have been off, but I never checked how accurate speed is in 1st gear...

It's all relative, 300 on the salt flats ain't nothing compared to 30 thru a Cambodia street market! Just sayin! 😻

For further testing, I picked a test stretch with a very steep and very short down hill straight.

Controlled distance and controlled entry speed.

Results very similar over multiple passes.

174 with Remus, Arrow, Stock Pipe.
176 wit GPR High.

On track I have hit 196km/h. I can feel there is a little more speed left if the straight was longer or if I was faster out of the turn going into this straight.
