Svartpilen 801 soon to be a reality.

If it’s 10.8K USD I feel like that’s a really good price if it’s Austrian made as I saw in a rumor somewhere. Probably not likely though at that price point.. At a $1.6K premium to the duke 790 it’s not as egregious as the mark up on the 701 when it came out… is the tech pack separate on the 790 now? If that’s included it could make the 801 a decent deal.

Price: 11 705 euro + Vehicle tax 3 489,26 euro

Just I cannot belive that price... Is it going to be the most expensive bike in the segment? By sooo much far?
The message they are sending is that we can buy a New Scrambler 2024 (11.200€ ), or the 790 Duke (9.500€), or the New Trident (7.995€), or the Yahama XR700 (8.500€), or a Tuono 660 (9.990€) or a BMW f900 R (9.720€) or... well literally any other bike on the segment, for 4.000 to 7.000 € less?

If 15.000 € is the price, I sincerely hope Husqvarna good luck with the bike. Maybe I get a second hand unit when the price is under 9.000 €.

Since I posted I noticed the dealer also has a 401 for sale at €8100 so I wouldn’t take the 801 price as a RRP.

It seems like the tank shape will not allow clip-on... Maybe the svartpilen and the vitpilen will be much closer. That's a shame because clip-on were the thing that sold the vitpilen for me with a more cafe racer experience.
Based on the last bikes, KTM become really expensive. Here in France the last 1390 superduke is sold 23000€ vs 16000€ for the 1290 superduke in 2016.
The new 990 duke is a good bike but with basic components, it is sold 15000€ : you can almost get a Yamaha MT10 for this price, or mt09-sp for 2500€ less ... Crazy. And I don't even talk about optional pack installed at the factory which will be deactivated after 1000km if you don't pay.
We will see how many bike they will sell.

I share your feelings about the clip-ons on the Vitpilen. I have a Vitpilen 401.

Something like this may work on the Vitpilen, Rizoma Race Retro handlebar. I put one on a 2019 Honda CB300R. It hit the tank at full steering lock but didn't interfere with riding the bike at all.

I put clipons on both the Ducati Monster I had and the Triumph Thruxton. If there’s a will, there’s a way. Usually, you just need to lower the triple clamp and add clipons on the fork, but considering how the tank is shaped it will probably have to be raised clipons. A flat handlebar would be the easiest way. There are also steering stoppers you can put on the fork legs to avoid the handlebars from hitting the tank.

Thanks! At the end of the video he said they were going in the next room to see the production bikes, hopefully they show those soon too.

According to my local store, the official release date is 19/3. I hope they don’t wait until then.
