5600 km, thats how long the stock tires lasted down to the legal limit on the rear.

Choosed another set of S21s.

What about everyone else, been a while since the last rubbers discussion;

... any news?

I agree that the S21’s are worth getting again For street riding.
I go with Pirelli Diablo Super Corsas on the track though… very forgiving and predictable for that environment.

Waht did you paid for the S21 set? After 6000ish km I will go with a set of S22s.

My score in 8500 miles is bad: I just installed the 5th front, and the fourth rear went on this winter.

ContiRoad.
I think we're on a similar boat. Stock tires lasted 2100kms. Center was fine on front but 2/3 to the edge was shot. The ones I have now are better than the S21 although the S21 is a really good tire.

Im my case through the lack of corners the center of the rear tire is gone earlier than the edges.

Yup, same. My fronts wear faster than the rears... and only the sides.

I'm just happy to mount my tires myself.

Harbor freight has tire balancers. They make use of skateboard bearings and do very well with an upgrade to Bones China red 608z bearings. all it takes is an oven and a freezer to facilitate the bearing swap.

If they have one, align it with the valve stem.

(Continental often (?) don't have a dot).
That’s a good rule of thumb as most assume that the heaviest part of the rim/wheel is at the stem. Such is not always the case however. My new OEM Vitpilen wheels came marked with a decal on the heavy part of the rim while indicating the deviation weight. A wheel balancer can help you achieve the same information for your individual wheels.
Note. The Dot on some manufacture’s tires are provided to indicate the Lightest part of each tire.

So, is it allowed to remove the tire again once its mounted to rotate it... like a few days later?

🙈🙈🙈

(Check on the bearings... I mean doesnt everyone have some just laying around...)
