Hello everyone!
Today, in preparation for a track day at the end of the month, I decided to flush the oil even though it wasn’t that old (~1000 km, with ~8h on track).
This is my 4th oil change. I bought the bike 4 years ago at 11,000 km, and it’s now at 22,000 km.
My oil screens and filters have always been quite clean, just like on my previous 990, which I sold at 90,000 km.
But today, I found this on one of my oil screens:

I made a mistake by throwing away those chips before checking if they were magnetic, but the magnet on the flushing bolt was perfectly clean.
The other screen and the two filters were also very clean.
The bike runs great, with no abnormal noise—though it’s still a big KTM single with a lot of valve train and clutch noise.
Any idea where this might come from?
Thanks!
