Issues fixed under warranty

ok, maybe i will make a misture of solution, use of metal shield with thermal adhesive ...just to prevent, i am not really sure about what may causes the shock issue...better prevent than cure, anyway, it wont be something hurmfull for the bike

I have received the heat shield for the ktm 790 and this is not fully compatible with our bikes, need to do some ajustments
 
Any of you had a problem with the TFT flickering at startup sometimes? It's fine when ignition is on, but when engine starts it starts flickering on the top 2/3 of the TFT.
It happens on mine from time to time. Sometimes several starts in a row, sometimes it can go a couple of weeks or a month in between.
Going in to the menu and going through it a bit helps to make it better and disapear sometimes.

Haven't found any common occasions or reasons for it like cold/hot temperature, wet, moist.

I talked to my dealer a bit about it this spring when I did my service and they where gonna se if there where any software updates. Not sure if any was done but it didn't happen for a while after, but the last month it has gotten more frequent so I shall contact the again. Its hard to capture on picture and video because of the TFT and camera frequencys interfering I guess.

I had the same issue with my TFT screen. Had to replace under warranty the battery and the issue seems to be fixed

This appears to occur occasionally with some bikes from the initial 2024 production batch that were stored for a while and sold in 2025 or later. It seems the batteries are damaged because they were not connected to a trickle charger while in storage.
 
heat shield installed, just one bolt...it is not possible to fix the 2 front bolts....i have tried it and no problem of all. I have sticked adhesive heat shiled too under the gadget.

me too, just one bolt...just be sure the shield is touching nothing, even with the suspension under load and everything will be ok...it is hard to belive that the problem of the rear shock aboserver comes from the heat of the catalyst....given the distance between both elements...but let`s give a try

pd: i have put some heat-resistant film in the inner side of the shield...
 
It’s the bracket that holds the shield to the frame. At least on the Duke / Norden frames.
if possible on the 801 you should use some strong adhesive tape and attach it to the frame

The bolts attach to the shield, so you can simply dismount it without removing that bracket.
