Issues fixed under warranty

Thank you guys, I'll keep reporting but yeah, last time they even changed the break discs model, and I'm back to old issues once again. I'm not sure if it's a bike problem, something with my habits, or what. Still I'll be extra careful this time.

@Lýkos From what I've read in a KTM forum in some cases the problem weren't the disks, but the contact surfaces at the front wheel, that weren't straight.

Thats what my dealer said as well and they checked that before swapping out the old dics for new ones, else it wouldve have been a temporary solution.

Definitely sounds like the problem I'm having, I'll comment it with my dealer!
@Tom could you tell me where you found it?

Hello, I also had the problem with the front brake – especially at very low speeds, the brake would judder. I had to complain to the dealer three times before it was replaced. However, the dealer also had the rim machined flat at the mounting point beforehand. I hope that this has solved the problem.

The dealer said it needs a new oil pan, but parts are not available/backordered. No timeline on when it will be available. Kind of crazy since this engine is in three different motorcycles.
After a gasket only partially fixed the problem and there was still no timeline on an oil pan, they are now shipping the old pan to be resurfaced at a KTM facility. They shipped it overnight yesterday. 🤞

Hi all,
I have the dreaded oil leak but ... this appears to be coming from behind the chain sprocket area and leaking along and onto the lower part of the engine. I'm taking it in next week for its first service. I will update this forum on their findings.

It's the same one as I originally posted. It was also leaking on the demo bike I test rode. They will fix it under warranty. Mine was replaced in Sept and not leaked since. Definite, known issue!

Bike was serviced and they found the leak. It is a front sprocket oil seal and covered by warranty . The bike is going back in next Tuesday to get repaired. There was another issue with my back seat. There is a "nipple" on the seating area. Its only small but it's no good for my OCD. Pics included. Not sure if they'll exchange though. Service guy didn't appear to be to optimistic.

Oil seal replaced under warranty but in their enthusiasm to remove the old, they've scratched by brushed aluminium radiator end cap. I didn't notice until I returned home. So I'm not even going to bother to tell them. They'll deny it I'm sure. In relation to the seat, it is not covered under warranty but I'm to monitor it. If it gets worse, they'll look into it again.

Went for a long ride today. 32c air temp and 2.5 hours ride. And.......another leak from the sprocket oil seal. Will contact dealer soon and no doubt, will have to book it in again. Not good.

From what I've read, even a slightly too high chain tension can cause a leak at the sprocket seal.

That's a bummer.
I just checked my repair and it said they had traced the leak to the gasket on the final drive casing, which was subsequently replaced. See below:
3000 miles later, no leaks so far.
Please keep us posted on your situation. Hope it is resolved quickly... 🤞🏻

Will do and thanks for your service notes. It's good to compile these for reference.

Just came back from a ride and my bike was leaking pink fluid into the top of the skid pan.
The round rubber pipe from bottom of radiator has unseated.

Do we have an overfill tank on these bikes like the 401 I need to top up also? Or can I just top up the radiator with Motorex 3.0.

My level is still between MAX and MIN on the sight gauge.
