Hi All,
Thought we should keep an archive of any issues we have found on our 801s and had fixed under warranty. Could prove useful in future if a common fault arises (such as cam shafts).

I had a minor oil leak which I noticed on my summer road trip through France and Spain. Was not a nice feeling being so far from home!
See the pic below, a slight oil leak from the final drive casing. Interestingly, I noticed the exact same leak on the demonstrator bike when I did a test ride.

Since the repair, the leak has not returned.

Apart from that, no issues in 6 months of ownership.

Faulty quickshifter sensor, changed under warranty at 1 000 km service.

I also have warped brake discs in the front which makes for horrible braking at slow speeds, went to the dealer and they took it for a test drive as well as some pictures and measurements and sent it to Husqvarna. Hopefully they'll change it under warranty.

One of the threads in the swingarm to attach the bobbins wasn't cut properly.
When I attached the Husqvarna bobbins (that are entirely made from one piece aluminium) the bobbin broke.
I then recut the thread in the swingarm myself and attached some universal bobbins with stainless steel bolts.

At the end cap of the muffler was a small paint damage (possibly from transport) and the weld underneath was not executed very pretty.
The dealer replaced the muffler during the 1000km service.

Update: Changing both front brake discs under warranty, though the hub in the center of the front wheel might not have perfectly centered holes for the brake discs (apparently that has been a problem) so they might have to change the front wheel as well.

It seems to be a quite common problem also with the Duke 790/890.

Mine is currently in the shop for the same oil seepage from the oil pan. The shop thinks it's the machining of the actual part and not just the gasket. On your bike, was the part replaced or just a gasket? They are working with Husqvarna on the issue currently.

I think mine was just the gasket, but I will check and get back to you. Kind of alarming that the test bike had the same oil leak too.

The dealer said it needs a new oil pan, but parts are not available/backordered. No timeline on when it will be available. Kind of crazy since this engine is in three different motorcycles.

A lot more than three I would say.
If we're thinking naked bike and their adventure versions and so on.

Doesn't help with the warranty, but maybe this could be an (available) alternative option.

Not necessarily a warranty issue but both my wing mirrors are showing corrosion rust all of a sudden.
3000kms on odd, in Canary Islands, bike barely see's a drop of rain.
