Howdy folks, Big Mike here from Southern Alberta, Canada. My first bike was a 79 Kawasaki KE175 that I bought when 17 in England. Moved to Canada in '81 and discovered mountain dirt biking. My last ride was in '91 on a KX500 and now at 59 I am beginning a new adventure with 901 Norden in the new year. Looking forward to a new bike and getting to know some like minded folks here...cheers!

Haha you are spot on VV. I had my first pay cheque and went and blew it on a pair of fancy cowboy boots and then rolled my massive wool socks over the top of the boots....don't have a clue what I was thinking. I remember thinking I owned the world after I bought that bike as it opened up so many mini adventures and little day trips. Dad took that picture of me so it's extra meaningful. I thought the pics were lost but my sister in Ireland found them!

Hello from NJ USA!
I'm excited to become a Husky owner soon when my Norden 901 arrives probably in December or January!
I currently own a Yamaha Super Tenere 1200 which is a great bike but I'm looking forward to a smaller, lighter bike that will be better for off-roading.

Hi new here, have a quick question. Rebuilt the clutch in my 2016 FE 501, I use it as a snowbike. Heres the question, first ride out clutch slipped for 10 to 15 seconds then hooked up and ran normal for the rest of the ride, is this normal or did I miss something in assembly?

Welcome!
Did you soak the clutch plates/frictions with the oil you run prior to installation?
Yeah, soaked in oil for about 2 hrs. Being a snowbike, I use 0w40 Lucas motorcycle oil. Never had a slippage issue with the original clutch, so I used OEM clutch kit.

Hi all, new here.

36Y old/young dude from Belgium. You can find me on my TE300i about once a week every week, and after just selling my KTM 950 ADV S I'm in the market for a 701 enduro r. I have some plans in building a nice dual sport / rally-raid bike and getting some travel / ADV riding going.
