There was yes. Ideally you want to replace the pipe section that contains the honeycomb element with a straight pipe, and stick it back in. It's a press fit with the perforated part. And weld it shut again.

Yeah ok. That's a stock cam shaft, which needs to be reground.
(that same camshaft is $540 .- before tax over here btw)

Regarding the price range I instantly thought that you're talking about the 2020 version of the stock camshaft.
Aftermarket camshafts like Poskitt are in a range from 600 to 1000 $.
From what I remeber in the facebook group the 2020 version cam shows more benefits than the discussed aftermarket cams. Also refer to https://hqvadventure.com/forum/threads/has-anyone-installed-a-lyndon-poskitt-cam-into-your-701.722/

Regarding the price range I instantly thought that you're talking about the 2020 version of the stock camshaft.
Aftermarket camshafts like Poskitt are in a range from 600 to 1000 $.

From what I understand, there was a different one initially for early Dukes (16-...) and the the new one replaces that.
Going back to my initial statement, maybe running an under belly exhaust doesnt need a different cam... or maybe it does...
Either way it would save way more weight than a replacement cat pipe and muffler.
