My 2020 has a bunch of stuff under the airbox on the left side. It looks like it is all part of the evaporative emissions system.

The blue thing is a connector that plugs into the evap valve. And below that there is a bunch of vent tubing tied to the frame.

This is right in the area where the 2019 and earlier bikes have a catalytic converter. I'm thinking of mounting a 2019 style exhaust system, will all of the plumbing on the 2020 get in the way? I'm thinking I might have to relocate it...
 
Its up and forward on the pre facelift bikes.

Not sure if the 2020+ frame still has the tab where valve mounts up there.

Two Hoses.
Seems like the one hose goes from the tank to the ground (right side of bike), and the other from the tank to the charcoal canister (left side of bike).
 
on a 2019 bike, we deleted the evap on it to save weight and ran the breather tube into the gas drain tube, its been working with no issues
 
How does it feel on roll off throttle?
That should be when you feel (hear) it sucking the fuel out of the charcoal canister.
 
Have to disagree, my Austrian Built Baby Black Bike definitely has one.

Yeah, I don't see any mounts up there on my 2020, it's lower where the valve is now.
I've deleted the evap system and canister on other bikes...

I'm a bit confused by this diagram, its different than other bikes I've looked at.
Does hose 7 go to the airbox? (the purge line?)
And hose 7 is the gas tank vent?

Made some typos in my post...
So hose 7 is the purge line and goes to the throttle body.
And hose 13 is the gas tank vent?
Part 14 is a plug, so there is no open air drain?

So I'd guess the valve 9 opens when the engine is running and sucks any fumes out of the tank through the canister? I bet maybe this valve closes when the bike is tipped over too...
 
The hose to open air is the second hose which is connected to the tank, that goes from the left side under the tank and out the right side.

Not sure exactly how HQV has their valve working, but Inwould think that when you are off the throttle it should open to use the vacuum created by having the butterfly closed to suck in the gas fumes into the engine from the canister and improve emissions, while liquid fuel gets trapped below the y-piece.

I think these hoses are maybe for outside the tank cap seal (rain around the tank cap) and battery overflow?
 
I ran into the same problem with the solenoid being in the way of the catalytic pipe. I can rotate the solenoid 90 degrees and it will clear but the connect is so close to the pipe I do not know if it would melt. Rather than risk that and damaging the harness, I opted for the smart moto evap delete kit.

As much as I like the idea of an evap delete...
The local fire chief told me personally that as long as a motorcycle is equipped with an evaporative system there is no negligence in parking it in ones living room.

So, guess y'all keep 'em in the g'rage

Hello everyone,

I just purchased the EVAP removal kit from SMART MOTO in order to install a 2018 exhaust system. Smart moto gives this plan for installation with those instructions (below) I see @Vintage Veloce gives another plan for the 2020 model and I also have a 2020 model. I am a little lost on what to remove and what to leave of the wiring and wanted to know if you could clarify and explain well, which pipes I remove and which one I keep to avoid any problems with error messages on the dash.
