Evap System

1. Remove everything in the picture.

2. Cap the metal nozzle on the engine where it says “Cylinder”

3 Run a hose from the “Fuel Tank” nozzle to the ground. I spliced this hose into the overfill tube (that also runs to the ground) by using the #10 Y-fitting in the diagram above.

Hello everyone,

I have a last doubt, in the diagram that I shared from the Smart Moto installation manual, we see that the tube 7 of the gas tank has closed at the end the tube with the piece 12. I already removed everything but what do I do about this, I have to open this tube by removing the piece 12 so that the tube 7 breathes since there is no more EVAP SYSTEM or I have to leave the tube 7 obstructed by the piece 12 ? I saw several people say that they put the tube 7 (which is the one from the tank gases if I am not wrong) with the other tube coming from the gas tank (which is from the tank overfill), then I suppose it worked for them with having the tube 7 unclogged at the end?

If anyone can help me, Thanks,

Tube 7 vents to the ground now, however you want: Alone, or coupled with the tank overflow. Do not cap it.

Before it would vent through the canister, which would filter out the gas fumes. Fluid would stay in the capped tube, to be uncapped & drained manually, if needed. Now it will simply vent to the air and drip on the ground as needed.
