BW preorder for clocks now open

im wondering if the badwinners unit will fit behind my aluminum puig windscreen. if not, i may need to go with a dart flyscreen which is a tad bit taller.

Hi guys. The motoscope pro was a pain to install, would of loved it to of been plug -n-play but motogadget don’t do a plug-in module that uses the original plug and then reads the canbus, that’s why I had to keep the original dash internals and relocate them to under the seat. I have full functionality of the original dash besides fuel level, not checked the average fuel consumption display yet. But not really interested in that. The dash is there for me to get the neutral indication, engine fault indication, TC and ABS deactivation. I have two push buttons for TC & ABS with Amber LED’s and the immobiliser LED. Looks like I will have one of maybe two with the motoscope dash on. I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled for anyone else who puts one on and finds a different way to wire it up, always open to new ideas !
Awesome work monkeynuts!
I've read your thread on the vitpilen forum with great interest.
Do you have any more pics of the finished product? Maybe even a video of it reving up?

Cheers man

I'm in on the dash. I'm just saving a bit to get it. I don't have any issues with the round to square because I can't read the stock dash very well: I'm in the reading glasses age group and the small characters of the stock sit farther away than a book would. I think the BW dash looks great and I think it will increase the value of the bike. 600 hundred are sold a year for each of it's three year run here in france and this upgrade option will make this discontinued model even more rare.

I do wish the auxillary info were bigger on the BW dash. This kind of thing might be reprogrammable on a tft. Perhaps a gps could be programmed to display through it as well. What i need is the speed limit and the speedo because here in France the speed limit changes ever couple hundred meters or so. The tickets I got here we're because I missed a change.

I've looked at the puig screen but it sits almost like a tiara on the front. I think I might just throw a vart light cover on my vit. It should fit with the dash since the dash is built for both bikes.

Delay after delay on shipping. Still cannot guarantee it will be in my hands in Sept!

I cancelled my order with Badwinners.

I'll keep mine going. The chip shortage has even affected major manufacturers. It sucks but I'm in no rush

Apparently
the first half of August was "summer vacation" . When I inquire Through regular email. No response usually. But if I email martin he usually responds. On the 18th he told me. They got the chips in finally and are assembling them. Should ship by end of Sept.

I'm intrigued still. Hope they hit their mark.

I wish they had done more to the interface, similar to the Speedo-X One, which is fantastic, but prob not compatible with our bike.

Looks better than the prototype screen. Are they shipping yet, or still delayed? Long, long delays - I cancelled my preorder.

Pretty slick looking piece of kit, hope its not vaporware. Also, why go through all this effort and still have a tach that goes all the way up to 12k?

So does that mean stuff like the 401 fly screen...

The dash itself is shared for both 701 and 401, same part number.

Which means, mounting holes and plugs are the same, but the mount is angled different.

So, while a 401 windscreen may line up with the holes on dash, the 701 mount may put it at an angle more similar to a wing vs. a windshield.

Good find, cool bike.

Personal Preference Mode: There is something I dont like about the looks of the LV-10... I heard it on a 401 live and it sounds cool, but its looks... slow... for some reason I cant e'splain.

Its a fine line really;

This pipe looks fast:
