HI how do you find the tail tidy set up vs the exhaust ? I've heard stories of melted indicators. I'm about to hit the button 0nthe bike and looking at accessories. I like the idea of a tail tidy but not if there is a risk of indicators getting damaged. Maybe it's on longer pipes like the Remus or Akra ? I was looking at the Ixil or the Arrow, choice is more limited from what I can see.

MIne has a short pipe so melting the indicators is not an issue.

I liked your short license plate tail, can you share more detail pictures. In Turkey we can't get something from china we will try to build in here this license plate.

*Duke 790's short license plates is fit for Svart 801?

I swapped from the stock tires to Michelin road 6. It was a vast improvement, made the bike more flickable.

Test Ride Reviews from dealers meet this weekend​


Hypermotard (The big one) Quite short, not as tall as I expected. Fun engine, good suspension, stable bike. It didn't give me that "must-have" feeling, though.

Streetfighter V2S Suspension was too soft, but the engine is fun. Decent length, but the front end is too low for my taste; my back didn't appreciate the angle even for the 15min test ride. A fast and fun bike regardless—I definitely felt a bit of a craving for it.

KTM Duke 990R I liked everything about this one more than the Streetfighter. Both the engine and the riding position were much more to my liking. I could easily see myself owning one of these. The dealer has the regular 990 for sale and of course it’s cheaper but it also has 7hp less than the R.

After these test rides I took the same route with my 801. Conclusion; love the 801 but if they release a bigger engine version with the same looks I’ll probably go for it.

I wonder if there are any plans for a 990 Svartpilen or a 1390?!!

Me... I would like to see a 690/701 Norden. 150kgs and a lot smaller than the regular Norden.

They will most likely save the 1390 engine for KTM.
A 901 Svart/Vit could be a possibility but they already decided on using the 801 engine instead so I don’t think it’s gonna happen. A 1001 with the 990 engine would be cool.

Anything over stock! I first changed to Piralli Angel GT and it was AMAZING. A few months back I moved to MR6 and they are good, but didn't feel that much of a change. Still loving them!
 
The 801 is a very fine tuning, fine balance of everything.... She has all the things you really need ! But like you folks, i coudn't help looking at the 990 Duke and the 1390... These two really are appealing beasts ! They seem to do everything the 801 does but meaner, faster... And who is against a little more power !?

Luckily for my beloved 801, those poor Ktm's are soooo ugly ! The insect look in the front and that orange everywhere, those lines, i just can't stand it and never will !!! Really so awful imo ! Too bad, they really seem fantastic....

My latest big crush is this one, 4 cylinders.... and that 80 's look that touches my heart full force ! I'll certainly give it a try in june...
