Maybe interesting to some...
I had a conversation with someone who also adapted the Duke 390 (2017 - 2023) tail tidy to his 801; and also kept the stock exhaust and the stock indicators.
Even after a longer trip and some hard riding in the twisties, the indicator at his bike did not melt.
The difference is, that he did no riding with higher rpms over a longer period of time; that's what I did (on the highway at about 160 - 170km/h) when my indicator started melting.
Finally, if riding with high rpms for extended periods is not part of your riding, the indicator might not be a problem to you.

"Someone" put his 801 with the Duke 390 (2017 - 2023) tail tidy on a Dyno; and at high rpms the same result...

Any chance you have the dyno results? Just curious.

Butt dyno and viking blood isnt much to go on.
