Has anyone been able to figure out how to put bar end mirrors on the 2021 models. The insert seems welded in vs the older models. Not sure if there is something that might could just screw in where the weights threaded in. Open to any suggestions, OEM mirrors are hideous.

You can use these RhinoMoto mounts if you want to keep them weighted, or you can use the CRG adapters and cut off an appropriate amount of the wedge portion if you want something a little smaller. I just mounted the CRG adapters and while I like the low-profile look, I'll confess that I'm feeling a little more vibration than I'd like and will probably switch to the RhinoMoto mounts. If you go the CRG route, don't assume that the depth for the welded/glued bosses are the same on both sides. . . mine weren't. Measure them individually before you cut.

If you go the RhinoMoto route, they said that if you use the Gen 2 version without the "dress ring" it will be 5-6mm narrower on each side then if you used them. @Dan00Hawk posted about the RhinoMoto mounts awhile back.

Yes I just installed the husky bar end mirrors on my 2021 sv401, in the end I used 16mm shallow socket large washer and original bar end screw to pull the cylinder out, note you will hear a bang when the epoxy breaks its bond then you can use the anchors, but clean out the remaing epoxy with round file or it maybe hard installing the anchors

Wow thanks for sharing i have been looking for something like the RhinoMoto adapters for at least a 3 weeks now.. ill try and post pics when I'm able to do the conversion. This forum seems way more helpful and active compared to the previous one. Appreciate the help!

Very helpful will any 7/8" mirrors work when you remove the epoxy? I didn't realize it was epoxy. Dealership dude said it was welded lol

It must be the cheapest way to put the bar end piece at the factory. But it is very inconvenient for the owners. LOL.

Do you just pull on it? And it will come off?

I installed the Husqvarna OEM bar end mirrors. I know they are pretty expensive, but they are really high quality and they give you all the hardware for both older models that use the expansion hardware and newer models (20+) that only need a screw, spacer, and lockwasher to go into the welded in inserts.

Looks great! There's a lot of confusion because the old part number doesn't have the hardware for the 20+ models and like your photo shows, all you need is the screw, star washer, spacer, and some loctite.

This really made sense this time lol thanks for sharing. Basically you remove the insert that came with the mirror and use the spacer and hardware that came with it to just screw them in. Vs removing the epoxy/inserts in handlebars correct?
