Update regarding the front sprocket. I changed it from JT JTF190215RB to Ognibene 7118R15 to save 32 g (198 g - 166 g) weight. So in total I saved 483 g on the sprockets and the chain.

If I have known this earlier that there is also a lighter damped front sprocket. Damn

I tried and found out that there is no chance to have less than 114 links with 15/42 ratio. Except maybe with narrower nuts on the chain tensioner bolt.

Wasn't it possible to remove one more link or do you wanted a longer wheelbase? Did you weight the DID ZVMX chain?

So I pulled the trigger on a 3D520SP chain. At the same time I went with the known JT 15 teeth front sprocket and a JT 42 teeth aluminum rear sprocket. JT steel 15t, JTF190215RB, 11.61 € ~ 12.80 $: 198 g ~ 0.4365 lbs JT aluminum 42t, JTA89742BLK, 22.79 € ~ 25.13 $: 239 g ~ 0,5269 lbs 3D520SP...

Just to be clear, it doesn't fit because of early wear and tear? The teeth were also 40 like OEM regarding your post.

Tuning or maintenance regarding the valve shims? Also brake pads were down to be changed already? What is PDL?

Has anyone experience what is the minimum link number for 15/42 ratio? OEM chain has 114 links.

DTC P1690 should caused by CAN communication errors.
