I am currently running 15 - 42 with 116 links and it is maxed out with just a bit to much free play . I was going to do some “important scientific research” with a 45 rear . My question is will it fit going up 3 up in the rear or should I just go for a 44. Thanks for the help !

I think a 45 will fit with a 116 chain. The gearing might become a bit too short though…(which of course is easy to fix with a 16t front if needed).

Tons of room with the 45 , could have gone up further but I’m really happy where it’s at as far as how I want to ride. The JT 45 sprocket was actually lighter then the super light 42 tooth as a bonus.

Wouldn't it be nice to have the infos of your last post also in the existing thread about sprocket weights?
