The disk is supposed to "float" within those rivets. It's normal to have play there. It is not supposed to be a firm connection.

What is your dash showing? Any error messages, or looks normal? Are you sure the new battery is fully charged?

It looks like it snaps together, with that little clip on the top - I see one on the bottom as well. Prob held in place more securely once inserted into the frame.
