The clear covers also make a nice spot to put a decal on the fabric underneath. That way it doesn't cover your phone or map, but looks like it's a factory product to the casual observer.

I've had no issues with them but don't have much time riding with them yet, just a couple hours. Their flash rate is actually acceptable to me and not a typical hyperflash, so I don't have any plans to mess with that. I mainly wanted brighter bulbs since I made the housings black.

Instead of covering the whole light, I pre-trimmed a smaller section to cover just the headlight beam area. This leaves the outer halo uncovered. I suppose it increases my visibility to other drivers, and I like the throwback look.
