The Pirelli Scorpion STR Rally that comes OEM are quite highly rated. But I'm looking for something that might have a bit better manners on pavement, and a little longer lasting, while still giving me some basic capability on light dirt/gravel roads.

These Dunlop Mutant Crossovers look quite promising to fit my needs, and it appears they'll be available in the OEM sizes (110/70 17 and 150/60 17) and a +1 size (120/70 17 and 160/60 17) based on the fitment guide listed. I'm more interested in the stock size to keep the bike nimble without any extra rotating mass, though. I can't find anyplace selling them yet, so they may not be in stock in the USA right now.

Hmm... that press release doesn't say anything about any dirt capability. They talk about the tread being good in the rain...
But this video shows some dirt!

Yeah, the other things I've read indicate it can handle some mild off roading. I wouldn't choose it for mud or rocky terrain, but that's not the intent of our bikes anyway.

Looks like the direction I’d be headed in if only I had a Svart!
Dunlop always seems to be more “popular “ in the UK than US State-Side of late with Pirelli advancing first in endurance results then followed by Sprint classes.
