I don’t think it will get the Nuda following since it seems to be such a hard sell. Depending on the market and the insurance prices next year, I might swap it for a 1390R. I do love the 801 but it’s fun to buy and upgrade bikes.

Perhaps you know this but the Coober “ECU” isn’t an ECU, it doesn’t regulate the higher revs, meaning you’ll risk running the bike too lean with only a decat and no real remapping.

Since we still have the 790 Duke, it shouldn’t be a problem.

The sad part is we’ll never see a 1001R or a 901R. I don’t mind riding around a discontinued model, that only makes it more rare.

Because there are different warranty restrictions in different markets. Here in Sweden all service work has to be done by an official KTM/Husky service center to retain the warranty, so it would be possible here.

Looks like general KTM pricing. Go out hard, then decrease. That doesn’t necessarily mean it’s being discounted.

My original front discs are definitely not completely flat. The brake effect at slow speeds is annoyingly choppy.

First longer ride with a passenger. My son just turned 13 and is now 184cm tall so he can use my gear. 😳 The rear gets really soft with the 75kg extra weight but other than that, no issues.

Anyone using lithium battery and any conplaints? There a few kg to save there I guess and I have found a cheap one available.

Is that even possible? Or are they just measuring the weight differently?

Same here. K&N and FuelX. I have no idea if the K&N helps or not but the FuelX helps a bunch.

Agree! I ride in the city at low revs everyday.

It’s not a jerky bike like some of the Japanese bikes, it feels good right out of the box. But good isn’t great, that’s the difference a fuel dongle gives you. + I had issues with the bike stalling, sometimes when driving which is really dangerous.

To sum it up, it has bad fuel/air mixture at low revs and you can’t ride it properly on lower revs.

Enjoy your new suspension! One thing usually needs to another. The pulsating feel on the brakes really bother me.

I test drove a 990R last weekend and that suspension is a lot better than on the 801. The brakes and the suspension are the only things I’d like to upgrade on my 801.
