Is the K&N air filter worth it?

The K&N works as it should; like the stock filter.
Even if the airflow with a K&N should be a tad higher than with the stock air filter, you wouldn't notice it; not even on a dyno; the difference would be so negligible that it would get lost within normal, standard tolerances.
Years ago, we experimented extensively with air filters on other bikes, and we only saw truly noticeable and measurable differences when the filter surface area was made significantly larger than the original.
Nevertheless, the K&N is a good filter; I use one with the 801 as well.
